You can master pistol, carbine or rifle with CM.

If you take a melee proff, you cannot master both. You have to drop one line in either profession. There is a stickied thread about CM templates with good ideas in it. Check it out.

Edit: Oooopps, not stickied anymore. Try an adavanced search usind these 3 things.....

Hi. I've only been playing swga couple weeks and tonightI finished up my CMcrafting line, using crafting macros for the first time. I believe both macros listed in this FAQ (and posted on other sites, as well) do not work. Well, at least they didn't work for me. I got an error message saying something like "crafting tool is in use."

From the FAQ:

Q: What's a good Macro to use?

A: If you really feel the need to macro, you can use this or something similar:

/ui action toolbarSlot00; This will choose your first crafting tool from your toolbar.Toolbar slots are numbered 00-11 for the top row(left to right) and 12-23 on the bottom row(left to right)

/selectDraftSchematic 0; The actual number for the schematic may vary depending on your crafting skill level. You will need to experiment with this to find the right schematic.

/pause 5; After it selects the schematic you have 5 seconds to double click the ingredients. If you find that you lag alot then you can increase the 5 to 10 etc

/nextCraftingStage; This will choose the experimentation stage

/nextCraftingStage; This will bypass the experimentation stage you are in

/createPrototype practice no item; This will skip the final creation process where you name your product.

/createPrototype practice no item;

/ui action toolbarSlot01; This will choose your next crafting tool

Also:

/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/selectDraftSchematic 0;
/pause 5;
/nextCraftingStage;
/nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/ui action toolbarSlot01;

The macro that did work for me was:

/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/selectDraftSchematic 0;
/pause 5;
/nextCraftingStage;
/nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/pause 3; <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< THIS LINE IS MISSING IN OTHER ONES
/ui action toolbarSlot01;

Check the post on grinding for a complete macro to use. Also for the error "crafting tool in use", ensure you do not have the same tool from slot 00 in slot 01, 02 etc.

I wrote the macro listed in the grinding FAQ and still use it to this day from time to time. Most recently a week ago when I had to grind out some crafting XP to trade in for Force Crafting XP.

I keep mine with a /pause 5 after the schematic is called up. If you are having lag issues you may want to increase the pause though. Adding in a pause in between tools should not be necessarry but I think if you are experiencing some latency it can help. Play around with it and let us know what works for you under what conditions.

Nope. I tried that too... made the pause to select resources 8 then 10 seconds and same problem. All I know is that it didn't work until I added that "/pause 3;" line. Once I added that line, I went back to 5 second resource selection and it was fine. I got the idea for adding that line from here: http://swg.allakhazam.com/db/guides.html?guide=190so it's not just me. I don't know why it works for you and didn't work for me or my friend who was grinding doctor xp. *shrugs*

Another good thing to add would be the difference between Effectiveness and Potency. This can get confusing.

Q: What is Dunkawah Poison?

A: Dunkawah Poison is obtained from either Dunkawah Ewoks or Pubams, on Endor. It replaces the Infection Amplifier(Regular/Advanced) during the crafting stage. You basically trade 30 effectiveness in the final poison or disease for 30 potency. In the current system,with advanced components a combat medic can expect 115 potency in a poison or disease C. This is sufficient for the vast majority of situations, so you are basically giving up 30 effectiveness points. This is near worthless, and assuming your server has all the components for advanced resilience compounds and advanced injection amplifiers

Looted 5 exceptional bottles of this off of Janta/Mokk missions on Dant. while grinding credits. Believe it was the first time i have ever looted this there, but it could be that now i have made the choice to be a CM, that I actually noticed.

There are other reports of this happening as well. Not sure what's going on, but probably just something funky with the loot tables.

I'll change that part of the FAQ once I get a chance to sit down and go over the whole FAQ to revise it.

Getting ready to do my last ttree of CM, the crafting. How much XP do we get per ABEC? I know we need 18 wheat/fiberplast per, so i'm trying to figure out how much i will need of each resource to complete the crafting tree. Thanx

I was wondering about how the Potency relates to the poison/disease actually "sticking" What is the formula?? Also, how is that formula changed by the new resist poison/disease packs doctors can now apply? If this info is another post, please direct me to it. Thanks!
