one other thing. in a seperate thread i outlined the technique for killing a elder as a CH/rifle if yor interested in that route but it is not something that is easy to do and it takes a LOT of practice and tailored pets and even then it isnt easy and you STILL have the lack of a viable damage type issue.

I would imagine you will still need heal 4xx4, enh 4xx2, and dump the rest into defender, but intim, lightening and such are nice too.

For the last few weeks I have been :
MLS
Heal 4000
Enhance 3002
Defender 4440
I've only been attacked by groups of bh max size 2 and they were never together just lucky timing. Most BH that have come were respec-bh. During the attacks I have made use of ForceSpeed/Heals/Aura and on one occasion ForceRun1. Of the handfull of BH that have attacked me since the CU I have yet to die. In PvE it is a good build but I find forcespeed gets capped by action costs really quickly and I never use the snares/roots for anything more thanmessing about. The defences hold out ok but don't cut it against the highest level mobs.
I spend 99% of my time in PvE (I don't really like PvP much), I am wondering if I should adjust my template to be more PvE biased.
I was thinking of :
MLS
MDefender
Heal 3000
Enhance 0002
But will it hold ok against the occasional BH suprise ?
The other reason I was thinking of switching is that I am working on getting my alt to glow now so in many many monthshe will be going Master Powers/Enhancer dabbler so it seems a shame to have too many overlapping skills.
So.... any PvE players want toshare their experiences ?
Thanks

Is rooting/kiting going to be a big problem ? I guess I still have burst run/parawan/forcewave (snare)/32m range knockdown.

This is my template. I also use it in group PvP (one on one it works well as long as they aren't drainers). Let me say that this template, short of Master Powers for the range, is the bane of most Bounty Hunters. High defence coupled with a higher than the average Jedi DPS make you very tough for bounty hunters to take out.
PvE, this is also a good way to go. I know many believe MLS to be worthless as we lack any single opponent Master special, however the accuracy and speed bonuses, plus access to all the specials make it very useful in PvE.
My advice to all Jedi, is look at what you enjoyed before you became Jedi. You can make a Jedi equivalent of pretty much any combatprofession in the game. If you are only looking at PvE, then this is even more true, as PvP tends to be about the most effective, rather than what people like the most. Just choose a combat style that fits you and go for it.

Pre-jedi my char was Master TKA/Master Swords so I am thinking this is the closest in jedi skills
Before CU I was going to do this template but with Heal 4004, itsa shame that the force costsare so high nowthat a high level mob means a15minute sit down after each kill without enhancer.

To help out some of my guild buddies I'm going for a good PvE template and want to have it close to a decent PvP template so I can change quickly after. Basically I want to solo krayts easily for even the "good pearls" at the moment and be able to hold my own against high CL MOB's. So this is what I was thinking would be fun yet effective.
MLS
Def 444x
Enh x4x2
Healer 3xxx
I get FA2 and a good deal of defender and once I'm ready to change to more of a PvP style I can dump xxx2 Enh for 2xxx. Just wondering if anyone had tried this and comment on how they've fared in high content PvE and in PvP. Is the FA a drag on the Force with bit of a dabble template?
I had been thinking of going MLS, MDef but I've been using FA in my grind and loving it, plus it's a very Jedi like skill, so I'm trying to keep that without giving up too much innate armor. Just not sure if losing AI is big deal or not.

i had take MDEf over that for pve but for pvp your temp might be a little better eitherway you gain more force with MDEF

FA is overkill if you already have have aura, IMO (and other people's). If you're strictly PVP there might be some slightly better templates, but MLS/MDEF is the the most rock-solid template if you wanna do both PVP and PVE. Yes, it's also a boring template to play. Yes, people will rag on you for having a FOTM template. But it's FOTM for a reason...
