"On the other hand, if your a doc and there is no CM on the other side all the doc skills are wasted. Advantage is to the offensive side. "

Fire Blankets

State Heals

Rez Packs

Havla+Buffpacks

A doc is totally wasted against a group wihtout a CM only if that doc is a complete retard.

As always, let us share someof the meds with docs (rez kits, fire blankets), let us be paramedics please.

However when it comes to real pvp, without spider venoms, you can't do anything.

And that's fighting against real other pvpers who use doctors. Makes CM completely useless without spider venoms.

And if you don't agree with that, then quite simply.... the PvP must suck on your server and I feel sorry for you.

Dude, thats just soooo wrong. The only real reason I see the big big demand for venom is that a large number of people only become partial CM's instead of masters. Yeah my venom stuff can get really high in effectiveness if I chose to experiment that way but all to often I have encounters where resists come into play and I'd rather have high potency to insure they stick. In most cases you get maybe one or two throws tops before several people are on you. Atm I wonder if several Jedi have my name hotkeyed as I've watched several make beelines straight through battlelines to cut me down while on base raids. Not just because they fear my poisons but because I can keep anyone being beaten on by a Jedi or defense stacker alive (minus fire dots).

And unfortunately we all know that PvP is now based on who's got the most MIND fire weapons and the most Jedi with them.

Marrow1:

I understand where you are coming from but I still have to disagree on many of those points based on experience. First of all it is a one on one tie between doctor and CM but then again there should not be an advantage between either. Why? Both are medical applications, one offensive and the other defensive and cancel each other out.

Second, 45-70min on a resist buff is short when compared to 3-4 hour buffs. That however is still no excuse to not have them and continually update them. In group PvP that also means that unless the CM has his poisEns tailored to be high potency (as well as low effectiveness AND range) there's a good chance that the entire group isn't going to be DoTed all at once. If these standard potency tailored poisEn's then even area cures which dont get the 2x modifier are matching or just under the poisEn's effectiveness with the mod. Then comes the entire venom enhanced issue to play with. Now take in mind (no pun intended) that while this is going on the CM is rooted and your partners are beelining to him or already beating on him. Even without a doctor present resists still play a major role....thats assuming that they dont have the meditation tree which just about ever seems to have.

I love my venoms and my poisons, but the other night in some wild action, I had the most fun I've ever had in this game. And funny thing is, I only actually threw poisons at 2 ppl. We had a group of 10, me as the cm/doc, 3 jedi (only 1 knight) and a couple BH and some tanks. We rolled all over the server having fun. I used 1 poison and disease on a guy hiding in the lake by the MO. They are both a low tick but have range of 61m. So he died where he hid Then we hit a live event in cnet, lots of atst's and big stormies. We got jumped by 2 imps as we landed, I threw one area, hit em both and that was my last offensive activity of the night. After cnet we went back to the mo and found an npc DJK who seemed to be running my controlled than they usually do. Sure enough, soon as we killed it we all got a message about increased rebel activity and ended up facing 3 waves of atst's, nova troopers, DJK and DJM. It was the wildest fun ever, I went through 3 area packs, and 2 ranged packs. I didn't lose a single man in the group until the 3rd wave. By then the jedi were out of force, we were full on foods and packing major wounds. I was one of the last 3 standing, and I ran out of rez packs at the end. But we finally all hit the cloner. I did make 2 runs from the cloner to drag out bodies and rez em.

I truly felt like a battlefield medic out there. If I could do that kind of stuff all the time it would be great. The overt imps finally showed up at the end of the fight and got most of us, but we still took alot of them with us. Was the best fight ever and I didn't poison anyone. So I say let them swing the nerf bat, if they give me more support to keep my group going, who needs poison?

I'm really shocked at how little you guys on the COMBAT MEDIC FORUM actually know about combat medic

You guys obviously know alot more than me about the crafting side to it and i will bow down to that even though I am a 12pt CM crafter on my server, i know very little... i just collect the best resources and craft the potency i need for PvP.

However I've been PvPing as a CM for a year in this game and you guys would be disgusted if you spent the time camping the fire spider to get some 200 power venoms and you put them into an area poison make it like 200 potency 400 effectiveness then throw it at a group of people and get

"someone has resisted"

"someone has resisted"

"someone has resisted"

"someone has resisted"

"someone has resisted"

"someone has resisted"

"someone has resisted"
"someone has resisted"

"someone has resisted"

spammed on your screen, after all that work, money.... it's just pointless. Especially since 90% of real pvpers have doctor in their template, and even if there is no CM on the opposition... doctors are still a must have for state heals/heals/ressing etc.

Could you please trust me on this rather than being so dismissive, I know more about this than you and you don't care because you won't get off your high horses, it's pathetic.

Let me get this straight. You posted an idea. A large group of us disagreed with you and posted our reasons why. You tell us that if we don't agree with you then we must not be real PVPers, or the PVP on our servers must suck. You then say that we don't know the CM profession. And now we're the ones on our high horses? I know I said I was done here, but I'm not going to just let that insult go.

Why should we trust you if our own experiences say that you're wrong? Did you ever stop to think that there might be a few things YOU could learn? Evidently not. You even admitted that you know very little about CM crafting. I have some news for you. Crafting is a HUGE part of the profession. The quality of your crafted goods is a major factor in how well you will succeed in a fight. There's a lot more to CM than just hitting the area mind poison button. CM isn't, and was never meant to be an automatic win in PVP. There are real counters to us now. You can either learn to deal with them, or you can whine and complain about the absence of overpowered loot that many of us believe should never have been introduced in the first place. Either way, coming here and insulting a group of veteran CMs, who were PVPing as CMs before venom existed, isn't going to accomplish anything.

QFE

And not in a positive way.

Nothing would make me happier than if all spider venom, gorax bones, ackly bones and krayt tissues were zapped from the game.

It takes a lot of nerve telling a big group of PvPers who have been playing since beta that they have no idea what they are talking about.

You know more than us and we are the ones on the high horse.

doc/novice brawler/master brawler is the paper to cm rock actauly all you have to do is warcry the cm and kill him most cm are cm/doc with no defense at all and are easy to take 1 on one if you hang around with hard core pvpers you learn how to counter cm
