In any event, CM got what it deserved. I'm sure CMs like the idea of 40 second fights which take up to an hour to prepare for by other fighters but for those of us who actually want to have interesting battles without needing cures every five seconds...it was a damn good deal.
Just so no one thinks I am talking out of my ass, here's a brief example of a day in the life of a non-CM PvPer:
Gets decent sized PvP group together (15min)
Everyone gets mind buffs (10min)
Everyone gets regular buffs (4min)
Convinces Doctor to come with incase of a CM (?)
Finally is ready and begins to comb starports (15min give or take shuttle times)
Comes across a small group of overts with a CM, first poison is thrown...doctor heals, gets TEF and is attacked first getting killed and unable to heal the rest who are poisoned. Soon after those who have not run into water or meditated in some secret place are dead. Sadly because I rarely see 300-600tic poisons (instead more like 800-1000) there really is no fight and everyone is dead or running (roughly 3min)
Roughly 44min of prep for 3min of PvP...something is wrong, it needed to be fixed and low and behold it did.
CMs are medics, the profession has MEDIC in the title, sub titles change but the name of the profession will always be there. When I think of medics, I don't think of someone throwing poisons and disease to cause damage to people, I think of someone who heals. If the profession was called 'Chemical Warfare Agent' or something, I could see why it would do what it does...but it's not. Either change the name of the profession, assimilate it into doctor or get rid of it.

waa waa waa, you think things were unbalanced before so putting in something to negate the CM entirely is warented?
You really believe CMs got what they deserved? You didn't want balance in the game you wanted one profession to be entirely negated by another? So when people think that Rifleman are too tough, it'll be acceptable to you when Squad Leaders get the ability to melt rifles? 100% of the time if a squad leader is around all the rifles sease to work. Actually Squad Leader is a bad example since the Doc - Squad leader ratio is probably 100-1.
This patch did not bring any form of balance to the game. This patch was a method to make some of the loudest screams quiet because of all the other crap being introduced. Notice how they cut the SP wait time on this one too? Well get ready for the next patch. No happy news in that one. Vendors get the shaft big time. I'm sure the next patch will have some sort of foolishness to smooth over customer relations a bit but this type ofpatch is not what any proffesion deserves.

How about planning for the possibility of a CM pass the one doc you brought with you. This is the lamest PVP group ive heard of. A CM is a non issue if you have DOC2xxx. Wake up and start using something called your BRAIN. Develop a real PVP team or template if you are so concerned with aCM.
Are you one of the people that has to have PVP handed to him on a platter. Would you like your enemies bound up and gagged so you pluck them one at a time?
You are a UNprepared pvper if you dont make allowances for the various types of enemies or attacks your enemy can throw at you. I have battled numerous CMS and the reason for death on my part IF i died had nothing to do with thier poison. ANd they didnt die from mine. YOU see the poison sign and go OMG OMG OMG i have to be cured. Maybe its the 1k ticker mind poison or it was the 100 health ticker i put on people just to watch them freak out.
Word of Advice. Get Prepared. ONE DOC is not prepared and yes my poison still hit with a 75 percent accuracy even with innocs.

I am so sick of ppl talkign down on CM ..yes we were overpowered ...not nearly as overpowered as jedi
but this patch was by far one of the lamest fixes ever ...i have posted on this issue to many times. You ppl died before because you did not invest in 4030 doc simple as that. so what does CM have now for the huge skill sink they have. Mind heal is the only useful thing they have. with 4040 doc you can cure a group using 90 med use area cures and master doc costs a lot less points then master CM. with 4030 doc you could have negated the top damage proffession in the game. People like you will always suck...no nerf ofr "fix" will ever chance that..

hey condar i was replying to the arapMYfortune guy. I totally agree with having the doc to counter the cm thing but hey IM a CM that still CAN and does apply poison to various areas of a enemy pvp group. But i love the unprepared noobs like arapmyfortune guy. Put the tiny poison on them to watch them flop around running for the doc so we know who to kill next.
Patch 9.3 shifted primary target from CM to all the DOCs.

However, the fixes were plain stupid. Pushing forward that smuggler spice that MITIGATED the poison would have made better sense. Upgrading the effects on the chef resist food or downgrading potency would have made sense. Coming up with 2 new types of abilities for doctors made no sense. As far as the name you notice there are too words. We can heal and we can attack. Alot of us do both but we rarely get an opportunity to use one side. Guess which side that is? To top it off our "in combat" healing abilities pale in comparison to doctors by a long long run.

In all of the professions there is only one rivalry where obviously one profession is a "counter" to another profession. Doctors vs. Combat Medics. Bounty Hunter vs. Jedi isn't even an issue anymore since most are going melee/bh 3/0/0/0 thanks to the point reduction and the bug with melee vs jedi.

I do agree that cm was way too powerfull, however with 9.3 a master 12 point Cm dosnt sell anything and is ineffective in pvp,GREAT use of 169 skill point dont you think.

Though I strongly disagree that arapMYfortune is being completely honest with his/her experience and his/her argument is rather loose in base as well as many other of the opposing arguments. I don't think neutrineaux acting like an ass, insulting people, reallycountered any of the arguments. CMs didn't diserve to be nerfed, a good doc who PvPs should know the proper template to survive and heal. Though I do believe that some form of resistance (layer or whatever) should be added to armor (it would supply more depth more or less). The innoc BS is just annoying and inappropriate. I do however respect every opposing viewpoint. I am a Combat Medic, I like being one and I likehow it was pre-nerf...however, to have jackasses like neutrineaux trolling our forums waving our flag like some sort of "leet" hero is as he said "stoopud"(which when you think about it sounds like he istrying to say stupid with faketeeth on). I was so taken back by how utterly pointless and dumb his/her posts were I actually directed my non-SWG playing friends to this thread and even they were impressed by his total stupidity (oh my, proper grammar!).neutrineaux, if you are just joking then you are truly talented in comedy, this material is a fantastic parody of a sterotypical 'computer geek', but if you're not then my faith slips more and more for people in this world.
