Umm...I hate to break it to you. But combat medics ARE supposed to be bio-chemical warfare deliverers. That is why we have poisons and diseases after all.
Shall we complain about a doctors ability to heal next ? Or a TKA's ability to do melee damage ?
I think the story that started all this argument needs a bit closer attention. What appears to have happened is a CM out played a few other people , and they got upset. Cm's are devistating if they can employ a hit and run tactic. And I argee that they are probbaly unstoppable at this. The trick is not to let that sort of combat happen. If you can dictate where and how combat will happen, you will win.
How about some tips to beat a CM? Notice you said CMs are "devistating" and "are probably unstoppable." Yeah, that sounds real fair. It wasn't hit and run fighting. He poisoned, diseased, shot me witha rifle, and even my own healing all helped to drain my mind pool. His poison ticked away HUGE chunks of the pool, about 1/3 per tick and even as a master doc I couldn't do anything. When I managed to get rid of one, he'd chuck another and there isn't anything I could do about it. Plain and simple, you can beat anyone in the game, even if they kill you first.

We can't heal our own minds. So that doesn't help us too much. Yes we can heal our friends minds, but not our own. Please don't use that as something against us when it isn't true. Zabrak can heal their own minds maybe they should be nerfed too? Grrr anyway, my two creds is that disease or poison should disapate upon incapp. This would solve the tripple incapp problem. Or make it so that the equipment is not damaged in PvP when tripple incapped. For me (a wookiee fully migrated to mind) It costs around 30-40 mind/focus/will every time I use /healmind. So use it much and it totaly screws your mind especialy if you decide you want to wear a helmet. And what is quick to regen? We have to watch an entertainer to heal these wounds.

Point is, still too much draining power, can get an entire group, can stack and clear the entire pool (even when fully buffed and using food and spices), and the 3-incap death will always piss me off. To top it off, you can heal every pool you have (I know it wounds your mind secondaries but not nearly enough and it doesn't matter that much in a fight because they're too quick to regen anyway).

@gentlegiant:
First off our Poisons and Diseases are "in line" as Devs have stated on the Correspondant bords.
The next thing is. Why the 75% Reduction ist not aplyed to us? actually it is... only its allways on us. PvP and PvM. If you want to do the math about the 75% reduktion I bid you to read this posting:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=combat_medic&message.id=28664&page=1
(Thank you Rhen for this one
)
It is very well explained what would happen to us. The numbers are real and the math is correct.
If you don't want to read it... your problem not mine.
Quote:And how many docs are there out there who can heal a disease and poison? I've watched people run through towns just shouting and begging for someone to remove it for them before I offered to do it.
More than you think. I run around with my Soldier Titel up.. do you really think i will help every person running and screaming through the city begging for me to get rid of a nuna diseas? And then probably not even get a thank you? He's got the diseas.. i don't know him.. his problem.
And trust me: If you pop a Brandy just after the poison ticks you have PLENTY of time to cure yourself... if not get a better computer or train your hand eye cordnation. I do it all the time and will gladly prove it to you should you ever come to Gorath galaxy (which if you really want to know.. I preferd if you wouldn't).
And last.. somone wanted some ideas how to defend against CM's. There was once a thread about that... it got some nice replys. I suggest reading it:

Kinda funny title - we figured that if you hate us, then you are not a CM. Only a non-CM would post a message about why we are hated, because we already know - we hear it everyday.
I am a MD / MCM, if a mind poison catches me off guard, I am worthless - that is the weakness of being a CM and Doctor. Another weakness is that I am powerless to fight against Droids (Geno caves), AT-STs, and Turrets. I am especially vulnerable to rifle fire, because the rifle hits my mind, and my attacks all take minds - just using an attack makes it easier for a rifleman to incap me.
I always kill my targets, rather than letting the poison triple incap them - unless I am incapped next to them.
Like most elite / hybrid classes, we are hated because our enemies only see our strengths, and not our weaknesses. Its easier to cry nerf then to take the time to find the enemies weaknesses - because every class / combo can be beat.

so basically, you just whine about every class that's not in your own template...cm, bh, commando, etc.
way to go, here's your cheese and some tissue
Thanks for the cheese, it's delicious. You can keep the tissue though, I'll just skeet on ur mom's face.
And I don't whine about every template, have I said 1 bad thing about carbineers? No. It's just a coulpe classes who do way too much dmg and everyone knows it except the people who are in the classes and are in denial. I was a TKM, then master carb, before I came to rifle. I know how ridiculously strong TKM is, I beat everyone up. But I didn't just ignore what other people said, I listened to their points and saw that they were right. You close- minded **edit**.
lol nice reply going straight for the "skeet on your mom's face" approach
meanwhile,it's obvious after reading more of your whiny BSthatthe best part of you must have ended up as a stain on your momma's sheets
keep crying about CM's though, I'm sure they're all about togive a sh*t seeing as how you come to their forum and tell them whey they're hated

Note1:
In a base defense against riflemen or anyone else, I can clone, charge in and die for my guild three, four, maybe five times before I'm completely ineffective in battle. If a CM drains my mind pool to black, I'm removed from the battle for a half hour. And THAT isn't overpowered?
Note2:
A Fencer/Pistoleer can put a lot of hurt on someone very quickly. But they do it either with Fencer OR pistoleer, not both at the same time. A CM/Fencer can poison/disease someone and then run in attack+DoT them. A lot of you talk about how your poisons and diseases aren't as strong as other attacks, but you PERSONALLY have the potential to STACK your DoT with other attacks. Doesn't THAT seem a little overpowered?
..........
I'm not an elite combatant. ANYONE with an elite skill can take me down. I admit that freely and I hold no grudge. Also, I have not yet personally been HIT by a CM, though I've fought alongside them. But let me point out something that I haven't really seen anyone directly address yet.
Riflemen get headshot and mindshot, yes? Headshot damages mind, mindshot wounds mind. People gripe about riflemen doing so much mind damage, but... I've never seen a rifleman specifically go out of his way to WOUND mind... Just drain it for an incap and then snipershot, which puts the target down 100 wound on each bar.
What you CMs are doing is draining the bar AND seriously wounding it. So far as I can tell from what I hear (I try to stay out of the GCW because I just don't enjoy it, but I have lots of guildies who DO) CM's are the only profession that ROUTINELY do large amounds of WOUND along with damage. And SOME of you also grief with the triple-incap bug. Not all, maybe not many, but some (and we all about how a few rotten apples can spoil something for everyone...)
If I get DB'd by anyone but a CM (or commando with fire) I have to spend maybe five minutes per DB getting healed up. If you hit my mind with poison/disease, even if you ARE a decent person and DB me rather than letting triple-incap decay my items, my mind pool is GONE. The same effect on that pool as if I had just died, say, eight times in a row. You're the only class that can put THAT kind of hurt on me with _two_clicks_ of a mouse. Okay, three (one to target). Riflemen could spam mindshot and do the same, but don't bother. Pistoleers could do it to healthshot, but don't bother. Carbineers could do it to Action but... well. We all know Carbineers would drain themselves first. But CM's do it REGULARLY and quite usually to the hardest bar to heal. And it takes you only two 'specials' to do it.
And THAT is why I don't ever, ever want to face a CM in combat - because I know that even if I 'win', I'm probably going to die a minute after you AND I'm going to have to spend a lot of time/money getting whatever bar you hit healed AND I'm going to have to spend lots of time and money getting my pets' bars healed up too because PETS are how a CH fights. CMs are the ONLY class that routinely puts that much hurt on an opponent.
