i have been following these crys for nerf for quite some time now, and with the exception of a few bugs - the long distance throw and extierior walls bugs - in general a cry for nerf is just plain stupid. NOT just for CM or TKAbut for ANY profession.


let us STOP asking the devs to tear down classes to equal the most broken of classes because pretty soon ALL of the combat classes will be nerfed down to the level of the b0rked Pikeman class..ALL of them including the l33t ranged classes. how fun is your bounty hunter going to be with all the same problems and weaknesses that Pikeman has?


imagine ALL of the crafting classes (armorsmith and weaponsmith included) being as rivitting and enchanting to play as Droid Engineer, or Bio Engineer or Chef...


nothing against Pikemen, DEs, BEsor Chefs.they are MUCH NEEDED classes.it is just that for a long time these have been known to be the most broken, least fun classes to play. if everyone who loses a battle crys nerf, and all the nerfs take effect we will have one stale, boring waist of time game on our hands.


so, rather than ask the Devs to tear all these classes down, why don't people take the time to ask the Devs to BUILD the broken classes UP. ADD to classes to improve them so you can stand up to Eyeshot being spammed at you. make it so you can take a Low Blow, Last Ditch, Panic Shot combination. Flame DoTs should not be the uncurable be-all-end-all.


it has been stated that ADDING ranged area cures to the CM class would fix the major problem people have with area poisons / diseases. it would help to FIX the long distance bug, and extirior wall bug. not remove things from the class


it would help to improve the accuracy of Pikemen, not nerf TKA, Fencer and Swordsman


it would help to add just a LITTLE bit of speed to the Swordsman class, NOT slow down every other class in the game.


the glass is half FULL guys, don't ask them to empty the dang thing, ask them to fill it the rest of the way

If the other classes were fixed Cm's could still chuck 80m poisons etc. and still be overpowered. Unless you want to "fix" my class so that I can shoot 80m then you make no sense. This "bug" has been around forever and will be around after the patch because people will stock up on meds,and patch prob won't even fix it. I am not hell bent on getting you guys nerfed as it is just a game ... I am at work and have better things to think about. Bye now.

Also don't tell him that we now can throw poisons and diseases not only as far as other planets but cross server as well. This is true. I was DB:d on Gorath by a Master CM on Farstar using only an exploit in the server.tell system and a power 3 dispersal mechanism.

And that's quite a bit farther than 64 meters.




How about the old trick of poisoning an NPC with the same name as a player and they both got poisoned. I wish that was still around, if only for laughs.

As a question cos I have been trawling your board out of interest, this leapfrog effect of someone at 60m in a group infecting someone at 30m+ so possible 90m hits,is this a bug then ? or an exploit? or correct?To me if the CMs range was max 64m like the rest of range weaponsthen I dont see the problem at all, at least all players have anfairer chance against a CM in a group PVP scenario.

Well right now our "max" single throw range is 90m, I actually made poisons last week with a max range of 88m by experimenting the range to 44m. The poison itself was weak, about 260-270 damage, but that's what the range was. Now if you make an AOE poison like that you can get aditional range due to the AOE. I say it's an exploit to use them though, but they give us all the tools to craft them, what they should do is cap out experimental range to 32m, then our single poisons couldn't possible go over 64m (but we'd still get 20+ more meters with an AOE poison).


I don't plan on using that poison I made though, I was just testing.
