Thread: How many Combat MEDICS out there?

I took Combat Medic and Master Doctor so I could be the very best healer in the game.

NOw having said that, I also like the fact that I have some teeth. When I am out there running faction missions it is nice to know that I am respected for my ability to defend myself. A single combat character is going to think twice before they attack a lone combat medic as it might be deadly to them. I like the fact that I am not an "easy, free kill", well maybe I am an easy kill, but I am certainly in no way a free kill. I like that a player has to evaluate and think about how long he might have to spend in the medical center or the cantina, if he decides to fight me.

This is better then being relegated to the nuna, or meatlump that you kill as you make your way back to town, because it is easy to do.

My name is Feff Vorskath, I'm a combat medic and I haven't thrown a poison for 3 weeks...

Man, this is like an AA meeting hahaha

Seriously, I am an Imperial Master Carbineer / Master Combat Medic, I PvP quite a bit. I don't really use too many poisons, unless the enemy is buffed and I'm not. I use my CM skills mostly for healing. I group up with my guild mates, and get out there and do alot of PvE in my stormtrooper armour. If I see a reb cruising past, PvP ahoy! Healing is the best skill we have. It's the area heals that make us popular in hunting groups. And I do it alot.. why buff when you can heal.

At the end of the day, I'ma carbineer first, combat healer second. Thats just the way it is.

I am a CM Doc that likes to heal as well. I love the fact with CM i do not need to be in the heat of the fight to heal my group and i find that my area and rang stims at lower levels are stronger then some of the Doc stims. I do very little pvp and when I do pvp it is in defences of a base.

I do use my possions in PVE so i can go throw the missions faster.

I orginally started CM for the PvP aspect, but am quicky enjoying the healing aspect more and more. The other night at the Geonosian bunker was awesome. I spent about 2hrs keeping a group of 6 alive and had a complete blast. Having 0-4-4-0 Doc was also a bonus, as there were several opportunities to rez groupmates. All in all, a very satisfying experience.

I've been a medic and doctor since the first month from launch. I've dabbled in a lot of professions, unlocked my fs slot, and decided to get serious about my character.

The one thingI have always hated is the 6m range I needed to be withiin to heal my comrades. In raids and on hunts, people are constantly moving and its nearly impossible to get them to STAND STILL for any length of time. A few tactics have been implemented sporadically on raids, including a "static" medic medic station that we drag bodies to, rez, buff...and so people know to come there when they need healing. But it's not frequent.

So I decided to suppliment my doctoring with combat medic, and I LOVE the ability to not only range heal, but range heal over an area, hitting many targets at once. Now my group mates can run around like the savages they are, and still get their healing. I'm more at peace with my universe.

As long as we still will have the ability to poison and disease, I won't mind a nerf too much on damage. I'm definately more of a healer than a fighter. (I'd also like an area poison/disease cure, but that's just me.)

i also agree about not being worried about a nerf, but in my case it is becuase i really don't PvP anyway. if they nerf us in PvPAND finally make us a viable PvE class, i will be happy as a clam. but enough about nerfs, this thread was pretty well started to AVOID that kind of talk

i love it that this thread has been kept alive. more please
