/agree with Snoogs.

This FAQ has no step-by-step Combat Medic Crafting Guide. I'm soon gonna be a 4404 Combat Medic, but I don't have a clue on how to craft anything.

Crafted a few things last night with my Food & Chemical crafting kit, got zero XP for it.

Would really like some guidance on this. It's the only thing stopping me from getting to MCM.

I myself am wondering what schematic/component can be made for the most xp w/o having to look for a whole bunch of components. If at least just the schematic which will give the most xp period. I've found that the basic B.E.C. will dish out 36 crafting xp in the shortest amt of time w/ little waste of components (6 organic,6 inorganic). Just wondering cuz all i'm needing is the crafting xp for master CM. Thanks for any help

ABECs for crafting grind, fine, but:

I think it would help out a lot of new CM crafters if the effects of experimentation on different areas were revealed (example = putting points in to ease of useincreases potency. "Most" critters will not resist a 100ish potent poison/disease pack).

I think it would also help to put suggestions on experimenting during the sub-components phase (example = for "most" dispersal mechanisms, experiment in range more than ae covered so that in the final combine, you can dump all points in to power/effectiveness).

Of course, anything you do write might be moot after publish 7, but as is, there is jack $hit out there to guide a new combat medic in what they should be making. My first experiments...well, sure the 176 potency ae mind poison looked nice, but at 150 power or whatever, it didn't sell too much.

There are a lot of posts comparing virtual penix on this forum, illustrating what masters can make, usually after having accumulated the best resources over a series of several months, but there is no "starter's guide".

One other good thread I ran across was a discussion on ranged pack Es vs. using ae Cs all the time (almost same materials to make).

A FAQ is usually for beginners and mid-level people, with the ocassional nugget of knowledge for an expert. The FAQ now is a nice starting point, but it tells me more about how to use a factory than it does to craft my bread and butter. No good.

CMs could use their own Guide, I know. But I'm not the one who will be writing it, just isn't my thing really. As for the FAQ, It will be revamped in due time. I just need to actually find the time to do it... feel free to give it a go if you wish

If you look at my posts in this section, you'll quickly see that I am only a dabbler. I absolutely suck at PvP, but do enjoy trying to make the best products for others. Mostly I'm asking questions, not answering them. If I wrote a guide for CM, it would be poor, misinformed, and putting myself above my station.

On this FAQ it is wrong that you cannot use poisons on Kreetle's. I hit the same one last night about 15 times using C's. I was getting almost 400 med exp xp on each throw.

Well. a lot of questions and heres the skinny. if this is already learned info, then please close.

Rancor Bile is used in a poison or disease schematic and replaces the Advanced Dispersal mechanism. it is important if you loot more than one because some poison and disease schematics requires two or more from a factory crate. If you loot more than one from one rancor, check the serial number in the Examine radial. if the same, the bile can be substituted for the ADM.

The stims used in PvE and PvP are the same. Invest in wound and injury bio-enhanced clothes to increase you damage heals in combat. 100k will get u a great outfit of bio-enhanced clothes. Also invest in a medical droid. 110 medical capability is the best and DE's can put them in any chassis. I like the seeker driod myself, but to each his/her own.

All of the CM ranged and area stims sell well but two things are required:

1. Note the med use of the stims to the customer in the entry and make sure the person buying know they have to have CM med use, not med use from the medic and/or doc tree.

2. ALWAYS look for and use advanced resources in making your meds. The sell for a higher price. My price list are as follows. The price list is for CM meds containing advanced resources:

Ranged Stim B-1750 creds ea.

Ranged Stim C-2000 creds ea.

Ranged Stim D-2250-2500 creds ea. (depending on power)

Ranged Stim E-2500-3000 ea.

Area Stim A-2500 ea

Area Stim B-3000-4000 ea

Area Stim C-4000-5000 ea

XP: when bored of fighting and need to craft, keep resources on you. when waiting for the shuttle or at the starport, craft. Keep 4 to 5 crafting tools on you and buy a couple of factories because if your stuff is good, people will buy. Go out and buy some grinding resources and have your factories make components and just grind the final product. You can use them or sell them cheap or give them away. Doesnt Matter. Once you done with crafting, then it will take 1-2 weeks, depending on availablity to get the rest of the XP needed.

Resouces: High OQ and PE on organics, High OQ and UT on Metal, and High OQ and DR on the rest. Start collecting advanced resources for both Doc (ABEC's, ACRDM's and ALS's are required in your stims, so look for doc special resources for theses components) and CM and sart with the planet specific ones (Lokian Wild Wheat, Yavinian Fiberplast, etc) because they are always there. The other uncommon ones check swgcraft.com. They keep an up-to-date listing.

Hi guys

Does poison/disease application give the CM any XP? or is XP only gained by healing?

cheers
