Ahh but the thing is this:
Until the combat revamp is completed we are not going to know anything for sure. Right now 99% of the people that are complaining are complaining about one thing and one thing only. Mind Damage. Since mind damage is unhealable and we can attack so many people with a DOT that no one can heal then we have a serious problem. No one ever comes in here and says, "I had 3500 points of health and got a health poison and disease and was incapped. You guys need a nerf!" The problem has always been mind damage.Thishas been a theme since day one of the game. Why do you think they put in Musician mind buffing? How about the CM mind heal ability, all of these things were put in to placate the mind damage problems.
Poison and diseaseis not like the Flamethrower DOT. The flamethrower did initial damage, PLUS put on a powerful damage tick PLUS a powerful wound tick ALL from the same single attack. ALSO Flamethrowers caused wound damage and regular damage on EVERY tick. Poisons and disease do not do this. It takes 10 seconds before the first poison ticks, and at 44 seconds before the first disease ticks. The DPS on poisons and diseases are also much much lower. Neither poison and disease do any initial damage to the target. The first damage is not felt for 10 seconds. You see there are significant differences.
When the combat revamp comes online, we have had on very good resources that Mind stimming will be put back in the game. That should quiet 65% of the people that are not PvPing if CMs are present. You probably will also see resistances fixed, a new area of effect poison and disease cure, and who knows what else.
So to say that a huge nerf is coming, well maybe it is depending on your point of view.

Poison and diseaseis not like the Flamethrower DOT. The flamethrower did initial damage, "Subtract 75% of that damage, and when armor is involved, remember its AP0 and then subtract resists" PLUS put on a powerful damage tick "prenerf it was powerfull" PLUS a powerful wound tick ALL from the same single attack "yes an attack that is restricted to 16m, misses a lot, and when we did miss we had an ugly delay. Hardly a god like weapon. It was the dot that was over powered. All dot atacks were reduced anyways, and the biggest differance was the fact that there were commandos that would agree that dot was overpowered where as I see a lot of CMs deny a problem even exists" ALSO Flamethrowers caused wound damage and regular damage on EVERY tick. Well you ARE on fire, and it was overused since its the ONLY working weapons on a 100% combat class with an access to most weapons in the game. Yes there are differances, but what does that matter when the end product is an over the top death tool. I'm not a CM obviously but when everyone who isnt a doctor or a tka not fight a raid off when they have a CM or 2 is a clear problem. People hate not being able to prevent poisons in any way but to stay out of combat. Doctors are not enough to fight against poisons unless there is AOE poison cure.

Rhen I love lots of the things you said in your last post, but SOE does not work that way. You don't seem able to learn anything from their history (or want to). You sir are a dreamer, I wish you luck, but I fear you are in for a shock.
