If these players also have SEA/AA/Food resist bonus for poison/disease increases there chances of resistance.

Your usage of 1200 dps as adamage indicator is an incorrect assumption. As your statement tends to fool those lackingtheknowledge of what combat medics can do into believing that 1200 dps is right, which is not the case.

Again, resists? Hahahahahaha! At best I have a 1 in 5 chance of avoiding the first poison, 1 in 10 the next, 1 in 15 the next, and so on.

I wouldn't be so annoyed if there was any real way to counter them. But there isnt aside from being a doc or having one right behind you.

I have noted an increase in the ability to resist poison/disease overnot using such items. It's not prevent one from getting poisoned or diseased but in the realm of PvP if you can get 1 or 2 resists vs. poison/disease to work it changes the balance slightly for the encounter.

Achillies in case you haven't noticed. Now Genocian stun pistols can be obtained that can deal 700 damage pair that w/o eyeshot and now you can go whine somewhere else.

700 damage per second and there's no armor in the world that's going to aid you not even with the crappy stun lairs that can be made to about what 40% max.

You won't hear me running my mouth in the forums about it needing a nerf it it get's out of hand I'd just do the honorable thing and keep my dignity intact and just quit. Unlike yourself, who would rather whine about a profession that sucks bad enough as it is and now you'd like to make it worse. People who do that in other scenarios are refered to as **edit**... so logically you must be one too.

A 90% resist food that lasts for 10 attacks for a normal weapon, to be balanced, should only work for 1 attack against a poison.

Besides, I think a food is way too easy to make and obtain to be properly balanced. Now if a Doc makes an "immunity pack" that offers, say, a +50 resistance increase that you would have to get from teh Doc, then we have nother story altogether. Otherwise we are talking about a Chef food that could, in effect, completely nullify a Doctor skill (the /cure skills). Also consideration needs to be given to the fact that a Doc /cure completely removes the state before any damage at all can be done. In all i think asking for a 90% resist for 10 attacks from a food is really pushing it.

Ok, lets play the numbers game. Let's assume your 700 dps (assuming no misses at 700 dps, not realistic). Now I'm not sure if the geo pistols are AP so I'll consider both.

First off lets assume it isnt AP. Now I use flameout all the time so 90% of the dmg is dropped before armor comes into play. So I'm already down to70 dps. 50% dmg gone from armorso now we're dealing with35 dps. Take off another 40% for resists so now we're down to21 dps.

For AP I'll assume that i'm using flameout again. So 90% of the dmg is dropped before armor comes into play leaving a whopping 70 dps. Take off 40% for resists and its down to 42 dps.

Flameout can last for up to 10 attacks so I'm not taking hardly any dmg during that time.

In reality eyeshot spammers miss very often unless they're also pistoleers but they'll probably choose fan shot over eyeshot.

P.S. In the above post I did not take into account accuracy and other defensive skill modifiers (i.e. dodge, counterattack, etc.).

You have no idea how fast that runs out. In a decent battle thats gone in the first 5 seconds.

Exactly! And a posion won't stack up the same way and won't take effect for twice that time.

How long does it take for an MCM to chuck poisons?

I don't remember exactly, but minimum of 4 seconds. I think it's closer to 6 or 8, though. You'll have to remember the stakcing rules, though, and the limits you have base don those that prevent layering of DoTs in certain ways, even from other CMs.

Yes, but there's a lot of things involved in this. A lot of bugs that contribute and other issues. The best conversation I've ever seen regarding CM "balance" can be found:

Maybe you should stop crying and be a doctor. Perhaps you're too ignorant on the fact that you want to be a defense stacker and not pick up some basic skills to cure yourself the poison or the disease.

Yeah, since when has being a 4-x-x-x doctor a "basic skill?"
