im not a CM but my alt is a master smuggler and has been for a while, so i wouldnt complain about the nerf, smugglers seem to get a nerf every publish and then told oh your fix is coming uhm in 2005 maybe later....CM's needed an equal something to balance them out. you arent getting nerfed at all, they just installed a counter measure to you. and it has been needed for a long time.

for all you CM's that are sticking with it i say good for you. now all the FOTM's will be rooted out becuase they just lost there i win button. and for those staying hey look at my sig and then we will discuss nerf's. Sad to say though it looks like smuggler is becoming an fotm now. i am seeing a bad trend of tkm/smuggler/BH.... and it sadens me because now smugglers will get hit with the nerf bat once again, and we are running out of strikes to nerf...

LOL......Zhose used to be a Master Smuggler/Master CH...no stranger to the nerf bat here. You are right, FD will get nerfed again. It's useless now in PvE almost, can't remember the last time I used it. I climbed up the pistol sleed tree and that made LD very nice....I can see why people will got BH/pistol/smugg.....if they aren't going TK/BH

Well guys it's been fun, I'm going be untraining today. It's too bad they are going overboard with this nerf. for the points it's just not worth it to me.

I have been a cm sense the beginning, although this will spice the game up a little with new skills and so forth, I will miss being a cm.

To all that hang in there I /solute you.

Ah, the "uber 1337" PvP CM's are leaving. Good. Go on to the next FOTM so you can get that nerfed too. To all the CM's that plan to stay and adapt: /salute

Whats really sad about smuggler was that they were going to add in a mind poison mitigation spice in the smuggler revamp. That would have made much more sense than this crap but once again they babied doctors instead.

What would you have really enjoyed more. Having to find and pay for a timed innoculation or have a spice handy for anytime you needed it. Mitigation makes more sense than resist to whatever profession you can think of.

sorry another one I'll have to call a noob

u know u can avoid mind damage ?

stick

2 (or 3) brandies
1 canape
1 muon
1 musician buff, eventually a dancer buff

fighting riflemen or defense stackers is the easiest thing in the game if you're only a bit smart.

most of defense stackers go for def vs KD.

so u can still stick a dizzy and a posture change and get em KD. (not the easiest way but if it's done right, it works fine).

I met 1 dude who went for def vs dizzy and posture down instead of noobish dizzy and KD mods.

cmon think a minute before getting stupidly owned, riflemen are only scaring childrens.

Now with doctor poison/disease resists we have a chance for a real PVP session.

Heh..that's what you think.

This changes nothing, it simply shifts attention off the CMs and onto other profs

It's still all about mind damage. Riflemen are the next 'to be balanced' proff, IMO, since they can range incap and range DB via mind attacks, at 1 shot/second. However mind fire weaponry is still unbalance.

CM was, IMO, the MOST unbalanced of the lot of PvP problems. I don't mind seeing focus shift to the next problem.

As to dropping MCM- I think , for the most part, Combat Medics lost it's prime function and focus in the game. It was never designed as the 'most offensive DOT profession in the game'. Healing on one side, destroying entire squads on the other (unless EVERY character was a doc).

CM still have their awesome damage healing powers. This is truly a part of being a medic in a combat squad. The mind healing alone is one AWESOME and unique perk. The poisons and diseases can be countered, but only by using appropriately complex medical supplies that are by no means easy to make. The resist buffs are also generally an hour or less duration, with a high potency poison/disease still overcoming them. PvE combat medics are extremely useful. When I'm doing the DWB or vettes, I want (and need) a couple CM's in the group.

So, CM's did get balanced down a lot so their poisons and diseases no longer dominate PvP. CM's were the counter to melee defence stackers, so the fixing and balancing is nowhere near complete, but from the majority of feed back from players I've received- this was a way overdue fix. Too many players I know already dropped the game, sick of 'CM dominated PvP'.

ren you are wrong ...CM was meant to be a support ...but a support as in offense...if you look at the skills it is all poison ...areaheals are a very small % of their skill tree. It is all aimed toward poison tossing. I do not know were everyone gets the idea that CM is supose to be healign the group. If you ask me that is stupid when a player can heal himself with novice medic ....or cure anything with 4030 doc
