the different models are supposed to have different default modules build in, f.i. the R5 was supposed to get a default F&C station, the Surgical Droid a default Medical Module, the Binary Load Lifter Droid a default Storage Module.

this concept got lost though sometime in Beta.

the level of the Medical Module determines the effectivenes at which you heal, just like Medcenter have 100%, camps 65% etc. the exact values of the Modules (they go up to level 6) can not be determined however, since they do not show (they might show on the module creation but than only the DE knows)

If you look at the details of your droid in the datapad there is a medical value of some sort. the level 1 module droids I use have a value of 35. I imagine better modules will have larger values.

I hate being a downer, but I just figured you should know - you can't be a Combat Medic and Master Carbineer. The only other elite class you can master with Combat Medic is Doctor. You just don't have enough skill points left over after Master Combat Medic to start any other trees. Even if you strip off every skill you have that isn't Medic or Ranged Support, you can't even get close to mastering another elite class. It's a curse we share only with Bounty Hunters and Commandos. Long may we bewail it.

--------------------

Medic - 77 Points

Combat Medic - 63 Points

Range support IV with Weapon IV - 43 Points

Carrb\Pistol\Rifle - 63 Points

Cost 246 Points out of 250

Sorry, guys - you're right. I included Master Marksman, when it wasn't necessary. Good catch.

Just picked up an R5 droid today from Kibenon Chilastra with a food/chem crafting station and a level 6 medical module. The healing effectiveness rating on him is 95%. So, whenI have the droid with me I seem to heal just as well as in the med centers and I can craft my ranged stims in th field

I highly recommend picking one up if you can. Makes those times when you forget to clone not seem as bad either.
