I feel that the Combat medic's position on the battlefield is simple. We are a support class. Long ranged support. We have a mixed variety of heals and DOTs. Our function is in normal times ti either heal up a group getting slaughtered to even the odds or to bolster damage output. Usually both. Our abilities also suggest a small amount of gun fire but this seems to be a lesser subject for the pure cm unless you second as a marksman or other gunner which is very good to do. I would concur that we are 75% combat oriented. We have every tool available to support a large group while whittling away the other. Our use off the field is limited (no buffs, no incredible wound heals, cure disease, cure poison) thisis the doctor's domain which would be probably 75% healing and 25% combat. After the enemy is DOTed our main focus is to keep the group from getting incap or dbed. We are the primary combat support unit. Doctors may seem to be effective for combat healing but when you have a group tactic dictate you should disperse so all of those nasty AOE attacks from Riflemen, commandos, etc. do not destroy our group. The doc cannot heal as effectively here but we can pick off the people that need healing in whatever formation.



In short we are a combat support class.

i believe i'd be too scared to see the devs "vision" on CMs... there have been too many bad things that have happened to feel secure about whatever plan they do have. I'd rather they listen to input from us/community as a whole and go from there.
