Thread: Correspondent Position!!!!
but if you re-arrange the letters a bit you get the word
meat
so, umm, yeah................
All I can say is, the attitude of people in this forum disgusts me. After reading of how bias alot of people are in defending a profession as broad and elaborate as Combat Medic, I would not want to represent these people at all. The hard truth is alot of people are ignorant, close-minded and do not see the big picture.
Chances are, thats probably why theyre in this forum in the first place, right? Complaining ingame got you nowhere, so you come here and complain in hopes someone will hear you. Then someone like me comes along, after a bunch of people have been together complaining and preaching for so long that they believe their view to be law, and laughs at it.
I mean, are we playing the same game? Does the statement "I didnt take 169 Skill Points to be a Super Medic" really make any sense? If you dont want to be a super medic, then dont take CM! Completely boggles my mind, how some can think because they took something it should work for them the way they want it to.
My reference to my view was a completely OPINIONATED post. Everyone has an opinion, that one was mine. Would I turn to a dev and say "You know what? HAM cap is fine, leave it in." or "You know what? HAM cap is retarded, remove it." No, I would not say either, because I am only one person, and my belief on the subject does not reflect everyones.
But would I write a post saying "I think the HAM cap is perfectly ethical." Youre goddamn right I would. I am allowed to express my belief without action if I chose to, and thats what I did. So when someone like me comes along into a Combat Medic forum, they dont go "What the f..." when they start to read what everyone thinks is "wrong" or where "change" should be. Because frankly, I PvP with the best on my server, and I dont see ANY of the problems alot of these people see. I dont think my poison is weaker than their DoT, nor do I think the fact I hit all the time is fair. Would I change that? Of course not. Would I let others know how I felt to better enhance their view on it? Of course I would.
Ive noticed a small margin of names appear in this forum, and the same general attitude they seem to give off. This attitude is one of "Combat Medic is a class I use to PvP, and I feel it should be better tweaked for this purpose." and youre entitled to your opinion. But so am I. So castrating me and calling methe small minded one for saying I think you guys are wrong makes you look worse than me.
Just because I say a CM shouldnt be the strongest PvP class doesnt mean I dont like them in PvP. I think we are fine the way we are, and we should be pushing for more things we can do as a class instead of complaining about the things we have, since the things we have right now work great.
As for this whole correspondent thing, it really doesnt matter who you guys get. If these opinions are the ones you hold for good, no real change will ever come to our class. They arent going to make us stronger than we are now, and this is apparent in their responses to the "Top 5." Every comment made to the important things you guys said were beat-around-the-bush answers.
Expect nothing but nerfs in terms of PvP. Complain about it yes, as you should, but expect it.
Yeah, I hate to say it, but I gotta admit that I don't envy anyone who takes on the CM Corre position. My best advice would be to set up a vote cycle like I had been using on the Doc forum. We don't need it there as much as I think it is really needed here, just so when folks ask why a Corre supports any particular position you can go back and tell them to tally the votes to see where the popular position stands on the issues.
I'd throw my name out there as a last resort seeing how long I've kept my MCM title and still love playing the profession as the poison throwing, buddy healing class that it is. However I'm sure there are people out there with the same love for Combat Medicine that I have.

It doesn't matter who's opinion is beingpassed onto the correspondent board, the dev's have the final word on where, when, how, orIFany change will take place, not the correspondent. A correspondent just gathers andpasses information. If someone were tojust pass their ownideasto the devs, theyprobably wouldn't have a whole lot of support information to back up any proposed change and would have no chance of swaying the dev fromhis original plan of attack. Zarlor did a great job of filling in, giving the dev ALL the infocovering every angle possiblewhen you didn't have a correspondent before, yet many of you on the board have balls enough to give him **edit** for taking on the extra load. I did the best that I could, passing all the information and views the posters had, I also started several toons on different servers to get opinions from the people that don't post here, and you all know the **edit** I got for something I had no controll over. Now your current correspondent is leaving, how many messengers will you guys kill before you figure out that correspondents don't sign the dev paychecks, SOE does.
Well i am almost at CM again deleted one and rerolled...I LOVE the profession but it sure could use a lot of Work in PVP. .AS for what the job is of a correspondant beside the relay of information from one fromat to another....(ie player to dev dev to play i have not a clue....so that is my tought..: O h and i have no job for antother 3-6 months haha broke my FARGING LEG
Thank the oh mighty one there is insurance.

I have several toons, one of thembeing a Master Combat Medic/Master Doctor. I post onseveral forums and rarely (if ever) troll classes I don't currently play & control, so feel free to review my past comments. You'll find I tend to smack silly comments squarely and abruptly, usually trying to avoid the nerfing ofANY class.Tacticalsolutions is my first and preferred answer to most problems. I also contribute to thoughtful discussion and even get lucky with an original thought on occasion.
That being said, I would be willing to take on the Corresponden'ts role.Someone needs to represent our interests.
so whats the word Pahd?
Whose the next sucker to become the flame-bait that is the CM Correspondent?
Zarlor, you already post on here too much
. Can you have two posts? I mean, we're all Master Medics as well...hence you aren't giving up on your medic duties...
I've read and responded to your posts on the medic forum. If you are that thourough in your posts, there's no way you can hold dual offices...There's not enough hours in the day.
But I sure see a lot of well concieved posts by you on this board as well.

Zarlor, at one time, was the Doctor Corre as well as the fill-in CM Corre. He handled both positions extremely well, but there's no way we can ask him to do that again as the Medic/CM Corre. That's just too much work for one man.
And Agent, don't think anyone has been chosen yet. TH still has to contact those interested...
I stepped into Medic Corre because of changing jobs, so my time has become a bit more limited. It's a lot easier to deal with the Medic forum tahn the Doc one, just because of sheer traffic.
Besides, most CMs don't particularly trust me because they'd don;t actaully read my posts anyway. They are all conviced (see the post above me) that I pushed through the +1 HAM change and the change in Poison -v- Cure effectiveness. Hence they think that I push personal agenda over what is sent in from the voting process that I normally use. Of course they are completely wrong, and I've proven it far too many times to bother doing it again, but most folks like to have a "bad guy" to aim for and I happen to be it on this forum. ![]()
Taking over here would be even more work than doing the Doc forum was, just because of some of the kinds of posters here. Some folks take things mroe than a little personally and get really hot-headed about little stuff. It was bad enough just getting a Top 5 vote in the last time I filled in over here whiletheDevs were still working on gettingKavedawg to fill in. It's just not a pleasant forum to deal with all the time, even though I'm actually more of a CM than a Doctor these days.
