I can see what you're getting at but does the bonus from a research center or bespin port give you extra experimentation points? Nope. I believe they are related to a different type of attribute.

No they don't, but they do add to your chances of success. They work the same way as the FS experimentation. Pyollian cake and the manufacturing center specialization add to the assembly chances of success. These bonuses don't show up in your skills window because they are global (affect all crafting). I only used the foods and specializations to show that assembly and experimentation have their own instances.
