Mellichae and his gang is the exit quest for the village. After you kill Mellichae go to any force shrine, /kneel and meditate. This will start the padawan trials. There are 16 tests / tasks that must be successfully compleated to reach full padawan status. About halfway through the trial one of the tasks is to create a training saber and tune a color crystal. After the last trail you meditate one more time and you a full Jedi padawan.

To train in a Jedinovice box takes Jedi XP that can only be gained at this point by killing things with your saber. You will need 20k Jedi xp to train a novice box, which takes a while to get with your training saber.

all i can say is bring a lot of friends.

millachae himself is about as tough as a nightsister protector plus he has better resistances (80% to all) and he is using a lightsaber dealing about 1.5k damage per hit.

he will also bring friends. a bodyguard which is about as hard as a NS sentinel (80% res to all too) but he has no Ls. and a couple of noob sith that you know already.

There are also some strange crystals in the camp that will heal everyone in millachaes camp. You must kill the crystals first, they can heal each other two so you need at least one better two rifleman who can take them out with conceal shot without drawing attantion.

If you dont have friends. Just go to mining outpost on dantooine and shout around that youre looking for help with the exit quest. When you have enough people (i suggest at least 10) go and kill him. You need rezers since some people will fall no doubt. better to have at least two rezers just to be sure. You also need a rifleman or two to take out as much as possible with conceal shot first and then at least 3 or 4 tanks who can take damage and die for you, you must stay alive during this mission. Its also nice to have a combat medic and just let him stay out of trouble and throw area heals on the tanks who fight milachea close up.

I soloed him. I think any ranged profession could do it, but having an AP2 weapon will make it a little less painful. I did it as a carbineer (not master, but speed-capped).

What I did was bleed-and-peace a couple siths at a time from 64m out until they aggroed and came for me, then I could finish them off alone. Just don't run more than ~100m away from the camp or they might respawn. Somewhere along the way the protector NPC came out too so I was able to pick him off one-on-one (not hard with buffs and armor). Then I hit the crystals from 64m out (first the two green ones, then the red ones... if the crystal heals itself then move on to a different one first).

Mellichae turned out to be easy--he didn't even hit me! I kited him with my best special. He drew his lightsaber but I never let him get into range to hit me. When he got to within 30m, burst run in circles and try to keep him at 60m until the burst run wears off. Use nutricake for instant burst run recovery time. After you get him to about 1/3 HAM, he seems to lose interest in chasing you and he'll just wander around aimlessly while you follow him and keep pounding from a safe distance. It took about 4-5 burst runs (two nutricakes) for me to get down to the point where he just didn't care to chase me anymore.

It did eat a fair amount of condition from my gun, and took about 45 minutes total, but soloing him is definately possible. But maybe not for melee profs!

[Edited 9/30: As someone points out below, Parwin (sp?) Nutricake is the reduce-recovery-time food, not air cake as I originally had]

Wow, good news to hear... I was a master carbineer once, and perhaps I will need to look at becoming one again, just in case I have to take him out myself...

Nice post, I'll try master rifles, but I'm still a little ways off. Take me phase 3 to get it, if it ever comes live lol.

Well, now that it looks like I will be going rifleman, I am so thankful I got the +12 to speed and the mod for accuracy with my free unlocks... That will hopefully make Rifleman a little easier to (quickly) master, hopefully

Hello everyone,

I just started playing again last night after 2 months off, and to my supprise I for 5 unlocks (woohoo). Anyway, I will be done with my 6th branch soon and will have to soon kill Mellichae. I was wondering how people have gone about doing this? It sounds somewhat difficult. I am also not in a guild, so I am thinking that I am somewhat screwed at this point... Does anyone have tips or ideas on how to go about this, or how to get people to come with me?

Thanks!

If by chance u are on Bloodfin look me up I would be happy to go with you and tank.

I too am going to be needing help, but seeing as how I have no free unlocks I have some time before I do the exit quest.

I figured i would do as mentioned above with the groups on Dant. I have been running solo groups there for 6 months or so and have met quite a few people that said they would help me out.

As u can see from my sig I am no slouch but I know without a doubt that soloing would not be something I would want to try.

Good luck.

Thanks, I will do that. My ingame name is Suki, and I am on bloodfin, so I will do that. Also, anyone that is on bloodfin and needs help, please look me up, I would be happy to help. At this point, I think I am going to master rifleman in the next few days in order to put up a good fight.

Good luck on the quest grind

Thanks

I actually have read it a few times (it is a great guide, thanks to Ithiris), though I am really wondering if anyone HAS soloed it? Most people I know have long since stopped playing the game, so I am kind of worried it will be hard to get people to help me... I am currently a TKM, but I am thinking that will surely not be enough to take this guy down. Does anyone have suggestions on how to kill this guy? Or, how to entice people to help?

Use air cake for instant burst run recovery time.

I've beentrying to find these air cakes, but I can only find ones that specify an increased dodge chance.

What air cakes should I be looking for?
