Got lucky and had him spawn right in the middle of the largest Rebel player city on our server. Had help from the Rebels there and also the base npcs to act as some diversion. Also helps if a Jedi is there to help out too. Mellichae is just not nice at all.

Tried it, he eventually would aggro.
One trick that did work was using Tors Shot to burn him, jump on the bike lose aggro, rinse and repeat, eventually the wounds will kill him, takes forever.

ya we had a LARGE party from our guild assist with him....i had him aggroed and while i was burst running and he followed meTKM's and another jedi were destroying crystals, and his minions, the crystals gave him invulnerability. once they were gone i ran back into the camp and everyone jumped him and he dropped like a rock...some of the best fun i had yet

I jumped in on a squad of Rebels that was helping a friend with him. It was a blast and reminded me of the old days of fighting.

What's more fun is to get lucky and have Mellichae spawn in a huge player city like it did for me. Rebel npcs were blasting away and scattered everywhere as Mellichae's sith buddies were spreading out everywhere. Meanwhile, me and everyone else were hacking or blasting away at the crystals while trying to keep clear of Mellichae. I ended up going down after the crystals were taken out. Cloned, came back and saw Mellichae get what he deserved. Mayhem and fun like this is what this game needs more of.

A rifleman can solo him but it is still difficult. The trick is to conceal shot the crystals and henchmen from63-64m awayuntil they are gone. Then conceal shot mellechea until he is just above the half way point on his ham. At that point the conceal shot will start a really weak bleed and he agros you. So I found that its best to just hit him withthe bestbleed that you have (mind shot 2)and kite him (using head shot 3 andadv. strafe shot)to the best of your ability. Some terrain neg. is very helpful in this endeavour unless you are ona flat area.

I helpedtwo friends take him out. We had 3 people in our group when we took them on. We had me, a TKM/Master Swordsman/Master Brawler who had no ranged attackand got her butt handed to her when he first tried to attack him directly. We had a Smuggler/BH (Pistols attack) and a Master Rifleman. The Master Rifleman and I died when we let him get to close (dumb moves on our part). Smuggler feigned death and was able to keep his buff. After we rebuffed and joined back in the fight.
The crystals seem to appear in different colors. There may be a pattern to destroying the crystals. Seems like if they are green, they will destroy easier.
For the Nasty One himself, we had the two ranged people at opposite ends kiting him back and forth using bleeds and big hits. While I ran around him using my TK Buffness and hit him with Intimidate 2, Warcry 2, and Lunge 2. We took him out pretty easily once we figure all that out.
And my friend is now grinding jedi. Only have to dothis 3 more times for all my toons.
We also noticed that he tended to slow down once we got him at half life. It may have been a bug but that made it a lot easier too.
Had it not been for the Light Saber, I think he could definately be soloed.

Yes, you have to kill him to start your Padawan Trials. You do not become Jedi Initiate until you complete 8 or 9 of the quests in the Padawan Trials. When you become initiate you get the title and the glowstick.

I believe killing Mallichae is the exit quest for the village. Then you start the padawan trails. Some correct me if I'm wrong.
