Mind heal is still the most useful ability in the game. You get to HEAL the UNHEALABLE pool. How can you complain that your healing is underpowered.

Edit: And you care to tell me that you are able to keep your riflemen/defense stackers blind and stun free in combat? Application of these states takes a fraction of the time it takes to cure them. Really, the only useful state cure that you would use on someone else in combat is dizzy.

If Mind heal is so powerfull... why do people complain about our Mind poisons? They should be cancelled out by our mind heals, right?

Mind heal is very usful depending on the situation but in pvp the costs usualy outweigh the benefits.

-Mind heal has the range of a doc stim and can heal one person at a time.

-Using mind heal gives the cm wounds in all mind stats and bf greatly limiting its usability.

-Mind heal is near usless in pvp due to the fact everyones taking mind damage.

-Mind heal is usful in high lvl pve dungons like the death watch and corvett.

Many cms dont use mind heal due to the fact it hurts more then it heals. If mind heal was given the range of our stims and possably an area of effect, many cms would use it despite the massive amount of wounds.

Nowhere did I say anything about CM mind heal countering poison. Countering one class with the same class is stupid and balances nothing anyway.

This does not alter the fact that CM Mind Healing is the most powerful healing ability in the game. In combat, it is much more important than state cures, disease cures, enhancing, resuscitating, depending on the strength of DoT weapons in the battle also fire cure.

Tell you what. Then we can make a trade. Doctors get the Mind Heal which is the most powerfull heal in the game and we get the states heals since these are states inflicted in combat and needed to be cured in combat.

I'd be perfectly happy with this trade, how about the rest of you guys?

I'd make that trade in a heartbeat!!!!!

Nah if mind heal is sooo important and powerful then you gotta give us state, poison, disease and fire cures too. Let the docs have our debilitating mind heal.

I vote YES! Lay a stun on a fencer and that fencer's defenses get cut down badly. Lay a dizzy on ANY ranged (even pistoleers) and the KD or even posture down will leave helpless as a baby. Blind flat out kills a pikeman and swordsman's effectiveness (their accuracy sucks already). Drop a /healmind on a PvP player and his MIND is +1000 and my MIND is -700 (I'm a zabrak focus capped at 500). In PvP /healmind is almost a courtesy suicide unless you're a human or have some serious MIND buffs.

I think the people with most experience of /healmind has spoken.

Now do we petition for this trade on the GCW forum?

Aparently not, since none of you seem to use mind heal at all.

Never said we didn't use it. Just stated it's not as useful as the other abilities Docs have. Docs can heal 12 out of 13 types of combat damage vs CMs healing 5 out of 13 types of Combat damage. You do the math.

And I never argued against the sheer math of the issue. I am just trying to honestly get you guys to understand how much more useful mind heal is than you think. With full mind buffs and 1500 focus, a good mind healer easily wins a battle.

Only in certain situations. I used to worry alot about /healmind till I tried a TKA/CM template. I was able to meditate away my wounds without a problem. Eventually one of my friends picked up SL and /boostmorale along with several TKAs medding away wounds helped. Finally we decided to just box an alt dancer and always keep her available for buffs and heals.

Mindheal does have its uses but I can tell you right now if someones mind is poisoned I am not going to bother healing them unless our Doc has cured their poison first. Exception to that is the Doc with 0 mind needing to cure his poison, even then I still wait for the poison to tic then I heal.

I use /healmind on a daily basis and still find it to be less useful than most Doc abilities.
