I'm a newb here since I just got my Novice Doctor and Novice CM. My plans for now are to work my way up to rivive for Doctor and get up on the CM crafting tree to make decent ranged heals. I have one comment and one question.

The comment is, I don't see why Doctor's have revive in the first place. Healing wounds is what half their skill is and that is only for use in hospitals or camps. Revive is somethign you need on a battlefield. I think it should have been a CM skill all along.

I do have questions about dragging / consent. I don't exactly know how to use it. If somebody consents to my moving their corpse, do I pick up all their gear in one lump and carry it in my inventory back to their newly cloned body? How do you drag? Do you get close and then drag and move the corpse or do you use it from a range and it pulls the corpse to you? Perhaps I just need a volunteer to drop dead and let me play with these skills. I read on the initial post that if somebody would die he would:

"If the crap really hit the fan like it did last nite and multiples start dropping just change to f8 drag and stim them or revive and stim. We pulled a ton of red mercs in lok."

Why do you need to drag somebody? Why not just run up to them?

One last question that has to do with combat and healing. I notice that if I am in combat, especially if I am using Special Attacks, that my healing is extremely lagged. Therefor whenever things get rough, I have to clear my queue and stop fighting in order to get the fastest heals. Can you keep attacking, even with plain vanilla "Attack" and heal at the same rate as if you are not attacking? I cant' wait until they impliment that healers get combat xp from healing somebody who's fighting.

Somehow in all of this my real point got lost.

This was a choice for me. I like runnning like a monkey and stimming, i think thats fun.

I like reviving and healing wounds and enhancing health and action.

I also do a lot of solo hunting. Getting slain is personal hobby of mine, so is healing my own wounds.

Didnt mean to start a who is better contest.

What about regular attacks? Do they take time away from healing? They aren't in the queue, but they have to take some time you would think. I usually have a 150ms ping (even with my broadband) and many times even without shooting at all, it seems as tho my heals are lagged. When you are fighting low mobs its not a problem, but if the next attack will kill your patient (and I just started and have no revive) then you really need to get that heal in there first.

I'm torn right now between Master Doctor / Master CM / some Pistol Skills or

Master Pistoleer and some points into the branches of medicine that I want to use. I wish I knew how they are going to rework CM in the future. They have to boost it or decrease Dr. to make it fair.

You can, but you will skip a combat round while healing.
So your moves will look like:
Shot - Heal - Shot
instead of
Shot - Shot - Shot

Also note that using macros you can queue heals along with special moves (though you will not see heals in the queue).

If you do not use macros it's a bit tricky because you have to have 2 targets (one for heal and one for special move)

I hear the argument that you guys are making. there is one reason i'm sticking with CM. that's because it is the perfect class to make a CH the bestCH around. when dealing with pets, there is no DB so rez is pointless and useless. and when you send in 3 pets possibly at different targets being able to heal at a long range is a priority, especially when they are chasing fleeing PC's. You don't really have to worry about mind damage as much with pets cause they have much larger HAM bars and will likey kill any one person that happens to be dealing mind damage (rifleman swordsman) and you will notice that far sooner and be able to adjust accordingly.

back to the original topice i too was once a combat medic but after i got 3/4 of the way to master i figured out that in my opinion cm is worthless, i would rather use stim ds that heal 1k damage to heat\\lth and action that is alot easier to craft then even bother with ranged attacks and poison was just plain worthlessyou got to spend like 2 days a week running around planets to get the stuff you need and a good quality at that to even get your poison to set in, and desease that is about worthless unless you just want to piss people off healing the wounds, i think i would rather just stay master medic and get 2 other elite professions like a pistoleer and ch, with those 3 you can take out anyone lol, one more thing if you guys surrender your combat medic make sure it isnt you title when you surender it, i surrendered it like a week ago and it is still my title and i cant get rid of it even if i select another title becuase everytine i die travel enter a battlezone it comes back

With the upcoming patch, medic stim-packs still work on pets. However Bio-engineer can create med packs that heal health, action and MIND and are usable by anyone, no medical use required. However they only work on pets. pets still regen stats but 20 times slower then currently.

I am another of thoses who dropped plans to go CM until they make drastic changes, and it is going to take drastic changes in order to make the non-range stuff worthwhile except in a nitch PvP position.

All on the action bar while hitting for an average 400 with legshot every 3 seconds. 3000+ damage every 10 seconds isn't too bad if you ask me.

Regarding healing with a Combat Medic:

Range is nice, but revive is better. I play Combat Medic for the poison/disease, ranged heals are just an added bonus.

This actually answered one of my questions, which was will bleed and poison stack. But now I have a new one. How can you stack 2 bleeds and 2 poisons? Do the aoe andsingle targetpoisons stack or something? And what about the bleeds?
