On second look of the actual schematic all I can say is

Aaaaaaarrrrrrgghhhhhh!

As the devs tend to do, they placed the two most critical propeeties (power and area) on the same experimentation line. So instead of forcing a choice on the doctor crafter (do I go higher power or higher area?), they get both together. Typical.

Those are nice ingredients. Dispersal Mechs needed, and specific/rare ingredients like poisons and diseases.

Okay, next questions! Strength andAoE size... they should be good but not equal to poisons/diseases, we're not trying to completely nullify CMs here. Man I wish we could instantly master stuff on TC to help test...

Woot! I have most of that .

Though it's odd the AoE Poison requires the meat, would have thought the other way round.

Are these crafted by a CM or a Doc? N/M.. not thinking clear.. do hope the AoE is kept to minimum on these..

I don't know what's going on here, folks. I really wish I did, but I don't.

PB Area Cures was something suggested and listed long, long ago on a few top 5's. It's an idea that's been kicked around a lot as well. But, after the recent discussion threads here and in the doc forum, it seemed that any area cure, regardless of implementation, would be stepping on one or the other professions toes.

Looks like it's our toes that got stepped on...

Er... Bit of a nightmare, I was never very keen on these things but if we were going to have them I'd have much rather seen them go to CMs as a kind of slow poison area ability. I honestly don't think it makes sense to give this to docs (and I am one) I don't have ranged support and what's more I don't want to get it, why therefore give me area anything?

With any luck this will stay on the TC.

This is not good.

- First off its using our dispersal mech meaning it could possably have an aoe radious equal to our poisons (speculation at this time).

- Second it uses bios which can easily be replaced by janta blood.

This is most excellent. Combat Medic damage is now majorly a non-issue in PVP. GG **edit**.

Edit: Dont worry though, if you wait for the combat balance (is that pub 12 now?) you might be able to do some damage then.

Its still an issue. A combat medic will still ream anyone thats not a doctor and doesn't have a doctor next to them. This was a great fix because now groups of 20 won't die to one suicide CM but it doesn't address anything about

  1. How poison isn't hit by the 75% pvp reduction

  2. How poison goes through all food mitigation

  3. How poison goes through all defense modifiers like melee and ranged defense, dodge, counterattack, etc.

  4. How poison goes through armor and psg

  5. How poison will affect everyone inside of a structure like a base

  6. How poison can't be cured unless you're a doctor. AkA, if you're not one you'll eventually be screwed.

  7. For the amount of damage it can inflict, it doesn't require very much ham. Whereas people who rely on weapons will get owned by doing special attacks after they die.

Awww, the poor CMs have it so bad....sorry but i can't feel sorry for you guys. I have a guy on my server that has a set of legendary 2500 tick poison. Groups of 20, 40, or even 60 can't touch this guy because they die too fast. I've had many base raids ruined by suicide CMs because the docs couldn't keep up. This is the most unbalanced class I've ever seen in any game and you should feel glad thats all they did to you today...

And thus SOE bows to the players once again. At least now people will quit whinning that CM's are too overpowered. But how will this affect the game? Not too much. Maybe it will hurt even more. Why? Cause now the Doctors will be forced to always heal area poison and not care about healing or rezzing his/her teammates. What joy!!!

uh, have you ever pvped before? **edit** do you think doctors do during the course of the battle ... healing individual peoples poisons, not rezing lol

and on a side note, yay for the devs
