I did suggest to the devs that SL should get a mind heal of some type. The ideas I offered were

  • Allow the SL to increase a group's ability to regen mind pool damage.

  • Allow the SL to heal a group's mind damage by taking damage to his [SL]health and action ( a leach effect)

Frankly, I was not expecting any type of mind heal in this patch, I thought the matter was still up for disscussion but I guess I was wrong.

The health poison stacks wit the pistoleer bleeds. You can do all 3 of those and then add on your fanshot and kill them much faster. If your a master doc/cm you hit the mind because you cant really supplement your poison with any kind of firepower

Too Bad Psionics don't exist in Star Wars. Hell, I'd just let the entertainers have the ability to heal mind damage while fighting in addition to buffing. It would make them feel useful in combat and encourage more people to take up the skill. In my experience, people are dropping the entertainer skill left and right. Same seems to be happening for survey. No, I don't want CM's to get survey skills. I don't mind at all sacrificing the points in artisan to keep survey. But it's a trend I noticed.

Without entertainers, it's hard to keep people healed in the field while do a major quest that is far away, or hunting. Without surveyors, hard to keep all them harvesters/mines running. My guild is full of master crafters, but only 1 person has all four survey skill trees and many have dropped survey all together.

As I have stated before, it is hard to balance things when you have 2 pools that can be damaged and healed and one pool that can be damaged and not healed. Either take away mind damaging attacks, or add in an effective way to heal mind damage. The mindheal as I have seen it described is somewhat like placing a band-aid on an amputated arm, not enough to make a difference. However i am glad to see that at least the issue is being addressed, even if not sufficiently.

That's great, not as if I don't have big enough of a target sign painted on me.

That's the point. They don't want it to be a god-mode ability. Basically, it's "oh crap! if the commando isn't up in a second or 2, we're all toast...**edit** He's mind incap" ability.

We get em up when we need to get em up because we can't afford to wait.

I can hear the screams for nerf now. This last ditch ability they are giving CM's is gonna be percived as overpowering. This will be a kneejerk reaction to a realatively limited use ability.

BTW has anyone confirmed if this can be used on your self?
