Ok I'm Gonna Post here, But i'm not a CM(Yet )...

Tactics

*You oviously knew it was a CM and that you were mind poisoned threw a wall, So i won't give the "Know your Enemy" speach... So why in gods name Do You do EXACTLY what the CM wants you to do? You tried to chase your opponent inside, who clearly had a tactical advantage on you indoors, after he got first strike! Solution: Next time just Run away. The more distance you put between him and you and the more out in the open you get, The BETTER! This Causes him to Come out of hiding to Repoison you, or Deathblow you if he wanted too...It Also Gets himAND youout in the open, Where your Faction buddies Might see what is going on to help.

*If You are hit with a Mind Bleed, any mind bleed, you are gonnaget knocked outin this game, Period. (hopefuly this will change with the 75%) You should be aware of this, Its not new Solution: Evaluate the Situation, FAST! Decide if you can end the fight before yourmind bleeds out. IF you think you can, then By all means Go for it. However if you have a Doubt concerning the Terain, the Enemy, Or anything...Try toRemove yourself from the situation. This may Not Always work, But You certainly stand a better chance if you understand the Situation and react accordingly

Other then that, You could review that CM and Commando are tied for Second in Point requierments(106 Pre-req's) Just behind the Bountyhunter(154). And that the Charicter who Got you more then likely used 166 points to be able to kill you the way he did

Also the Line from marksmen is the Combat Exp line, it cost like 30K if i'm not mistaken. How do you get 30k Combat Exp if not by using "combat skills"....Anyhow, Starting to get into the Realm of the CM and out of my depth, So i better Stop there....You understand i just hate when people make mistakes in PvP and then Come Crying "NERF"for Abilities that are Supposed to be powerful.

1) Yes, I knew it had to be a CM due to the ranged poisons (duh!). I had NO IDEA they could do that through walls at such range (was way beyond 64m if I had to guess..was near top of my compass set at 256). Can someone please tell me HOW I'm supposed to run away when a CM can reapply poison on my already drained mind stat WHILE I'm incapped so that when I stand up, I just fall down again?? I'd REALLY like an answer to that please. I'd have felt better if the guy had come up and db'd me. at least I would have been able to see him.

2) I had no time to run. My mind is at 850. It was gone before I could spin around three times and say "there's no place like home, toto". You shouldn't HAVE a dot that deals THAT amount of damage to a stat that isn't able to be healed on the spot by the average player...nor should that dot be able to be reapplied while you're incapped. Knowing the 3 incapp death rule, I can't believe this hasn't been addressed yet.

3) For points, I don't see how bad you're suffering. I just ran the character builder and came up with a CM/Pistol/Doctor template in two minutes. Massive buffs, Pistol bleeds and perks, and CM ranged disease and poison. On top of that, throw in faction pets (of which there is NO LAW that says all CM's have to be rebel, oh whiners of AT-ST), and you've got one pretty damaging character. You wouldn't need any LOS to play a character like that. Brad McQuaide(sp) once said that a player will ALWAYS take the path of least resistance when given the opportunity. To me, that is the ONLY reason you want non-LOS attacks to stick around. You know you can kill before the person can get away, you know you can keep them down with no risk to you whatsoever, and you know that they're going to die in three incapps anyways. You know you've got it too good, and they wouldn't dare do anything to other classes to bring them up to that level of ease in killing other players. So you'll sit here and whine about how you're next with the nerf stick, but you really don't have it that hard in the killing department. Sure, you've got some crafting woes....but not many of you feel that bad about those cheese kills...not as long as you can fantasize that it's *dramatic emphasis* STRATEGYYYYYYYY.....oooooo..wish I had that kind of imagination.

'nuff said. (That one's for you, Glimmer!)

Again, you've gone clueless. Read the first post. I see red dot inside starport. He sees me. He throws poison at me, I get 20 feet towards him and fall to the ground incapped. The fight is done. I never had a chance to even see him, let alone defend myself. And applying poisons while I'm laying incapped? L A M E

This is a clearly overexaggerated story. Poisons take on average 3-4 ticks to kill someone unless you have your stats all fubared. You have 30 -40 seconds to retaliate or get others to help. If you have +5 medic abilities and they poisons action or health you can heal it, the only thing you cant heal is mind, but I cant heal mind either if I get headshots by a rifleman. Part of the problem with your little rendition of events is the fact that before you are fully logged in people can attack your character before you gain control. However that is hardly a CM issue in any way. Applying poisons while incapped does nothing. Unless you are thinking of disease. If you are this bitter over other people using their given abilties in combat, dont go overt. There are far more overpowereing abilties in this game then poisons.

Bull**edit** .... The best any master can do is around 46 maybe 50.I think you had your compass on 32 m or something cause this is not possible.

And when was chemical warfare fair anyways. That's what it is.

Rifleman can do 350+ damage in 1 shot with rifle to mind. 700+ in less time then my 1 poison which can quite easily be resisted will do. However if you are comparing damage, look at eyeshot. 300+ damage every 2.5 seconds, in the 8 seconds it takes my 1 tick of dot to work I take 900+ damage compared to my 400 dot. Is this fair? Is it fair that smugglers have a skill that stops me from doing anything for more then 7 seconds? and they can spam it on me making me completely crippled? Is it fair a pistoleer can spam knockdown on me until I die? Is it fair a CH can turn their pet on me and run the other way? Sorry but any validity in your post is buried by the anger and resentment you have because you died PvsP. I suggest you stay covert the rest of your life to avoid this undue stress.

This right here proves how clueless you are. I am a Master CM, and on a good day I'll get a 50m throw max. Top of compass is an impossibilty. Its interesting how people fabricate lies to try and boost their point.

Your template won't work. I've mentioned before... you can not use C poisons unless you are a master combat medic. you won't have the meduse skill. And if you get a master cm to make them so that they meduse is lowered? you'll crash that poison down to useless. Yes, I agree getting jumped like you did sucked..... I was standing in a shop overt, I was at the vendor buying some items... suddenly i'm flat on my back with KD/dizzy. Was this fair? He killed me. I came back and killed him. The situations are comparable. Solution? No idea other than my personal favorite, no attacking in cities. I'm personally sick of the fighting + lag + cloning + revenge tef's in cities.

And let's settle this debate about what your class is. You train one tree in marksman, and 4 in medic to qualify for combat medic. Medic is a support class. Yes, you can poison and disease, but you're MAINLY a medic. You make stimpacks and woundpacks. You can heal quickly and at range. Points wise, you don't spend as much as some hybrid classes, and the same as others that are more nerfier in battle. You guys are asking for the equivalent of Asheron's Call's life mages, who used to have almost no hitpoints at level 20, but could do level 126 Tuskers through walls via macro while they slept. Every other class had to wait many more levels to be able to go near them. In PVP, they just drained you through walls while you ran around trying to get to them

That's bull, you didn't mention that the one level of marksman that we have to train in is ranged support. That is the hardest to get of all the other marksman skills. So, in the process of getting ranged support, we will obviously end up spending points in the four levels of one of the other 3 skill branches, either pistol, rifle or carbine. And also, crafting xp for medics is not a very quick route either. I have been a combat medic for 3 weeks and i'm still only an advanced crafter. Sure there are some CM's who will grind out meds and get master crafter in a week.

my point is that you seem to think that CM is an easily attainable profession. If it was so easy you would see a whole bunch of combat medics. I basically stay on Tatooine and i think i can can't on my hand how many combat medics i've seen.

One last thing, i agree some cm's abused the TEF exploit with poisons and disease. i never used them in pvp combat. Now i don't use them at all because of the stigma that it has. I would rather not even use poisons or disease because many players will automatically peg me an exploiter. I don't even use them to fight npc creatures. So basically i've taken the combat portion out of my combat medic abilities...i nerfed myself. I am just a medic who can heal people from 35 meters away.

I donot however think poorly of cm's that do use poison or disease, they worked hard and they earned it. If you don't like it, make friends with a doctor who can heal poison and disease or become one yourself.

Getting poisoned from 64 meters away is fine, getting poisoned from 64 meters away AND through multiple walls is bull **edit**. KD is getting balanced aswell as posture changes with dizzy not only that it can't be done through walls at opponents that CAN NOT defend themselves. This is a major exploit just like using meds to get around the TEF was and needs to be addressed ASAP, either that or let every single other class fight from behind a wall aswell and just remove cover completely.

Again, to repeat what most other CMs have been saying here:

Poisons don't require LoS because their max range is terrible compared to a marksman.

Even at master, poison range is nothing to write home about. I often can't use them in skirmishes because the combat is mostly taking place in between 40 and 65 meters.

That's the balance. Sure, CMs are powerful in cities. But a BH with eye shot or a riflemancan kick my ass easilyif we're out in the open.

Besides, you were alone. I get my ass kicked alone too, especiallyif someone gets the drop on me.

1. The often quoted "bounty hunters need more skill points we deserve to uber" theory doesn't fly. If this theory holds true than

Commandoes & Squad Leaders are the 2nd most powerful class in the game

BioEngineers are the bestcrafters in the game

Creature Handlers are less powerful than almost every other class

Does this sound like the same game i'm playing?

2. Things change with nerfs and improvements. BHs enjoyed KD for a long time, no it's gone. CMs will enjoy poison, it will probably get nerfed sometime in the future. Things change.

3. Where in the EULA did it say you are entitled to a fair fight? There are entire classes devoted to unfair fights, check the Dirty Fighting line for the smuggler. The Combat Medic is not a dueller. Bounty Hunters are the best duellers, why would anybody be dumb enough to duel one?

Most of the "unfairness" of this game is balanced by deathbeing absolutely meaningless. You don't lose XP, you don't lose items, you don't lose skills. It's just an embarrassment.

If this was a permadeath PvP game like D2 hardcore you can complain about fair fights.

You loose faction points for dying, items that are not insured can be lost, and not to mention time lost from clone wounds. The game entitles everyone a fair playing experience free from exploit deaths. The dirty fighting line suffers from the same advantages/disadvantages as any other ranged combat, in other words they are just as likely to get a shot off as anyone else. Combat Medics which by nature should be support classes not front line fighters as they are right now don't follow the rules that bind every other class when it comes to dealing damageand hence are causing complete unbalancing to the PvP game and exploiting this obvious bug.
