Right, but this doesn't makes sense to me. Basic Bacta stays the same, Advanced Bacta stays the same, BUT Improved Bacta gets a reduction?

I'm a MCM with +90 healing effeciency....and I'm going to see a reduction in the amount of damage healed because I have MORE effeciency?

No... currently Basic Bacta = Improved Bacta = Advanced Bacta with your +90 HE increasing them all the same amount.

After change, Basic Bacta < Improved Bacta < Advanced Bacta withthe effect of your +90 scaling (think like the damagemultipliers on specials) better with each level. A medic2 with no extra HE probably won't see any change - he's already at rock bottom. A MDoc with Advanced Bacta won't see any change - he's maxed out.

The REST of us WILL see a change. Its gonna make it a lot harder to fight attrition battles against full-temps. Even as an MCM, you probably do most of your self-heals with Bactashot... but as that's a Doc-line heal, and we don't get the intermediate and advanced versions of that, we are gonna see a hit...

So say (Completly thoretically, not real numbers here): a MCM has 100 healing eff. and a MDoc has 100 healing eff. A MCM using their best version of Bacta Shot, Bacta Shot is healing for 1000. A MDoc using thier best version, Adv. Bacta Shot, will be healing for the same. (post patch) but before they would both be healing for 1500. So CM does get a nerf in that adv. and imp. are both in Doc. Congrats, they took something that was even and messed it up. Yay! Atleast give CM Improved Bacta Shot?

And take away what? MCM != MD

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

Lots of theories. A Master Doc without CM stuff will heal more with Advanced Bacta Shot and a Master CM without Doc stuff will heal more with Bacta Toss.

But unless I spend the points for AdvancedBacta Toss and Spray, should I whine that I can't heal for as much with plain vanilla Toss and Spray? It puts value on the advanced skills and spending the points to get the skills if you want it.

Yeah but spray and toss already suck for heals compared to shot.

Okay, aside from Bacta Shot, which is neither CM or Doc profession specific, all lower level healing specials NOT specific to your healing profession are getting nerfed.

Word on the street is that Bacta Shot is getting nerfed for EVERYONE: MCM's, MD's, and dabblers.

"Word on the street" isn't exactly correct on this one. The healing values for the Advanced version of the heals are not changing. Master Doctors will continue to heal for the same amount of damage using Advanced Bacta Shot as they have been since Publish 19. The same is true for Master Doctors using Advanced Bacta Jab, Combat Medics with at least 3000 using Advanced Bacta Toss and Combat Medics with at least 4000 using Advanced Bacta Spray.

Novice Medics (with a total Healing Efficiency of 5)using the standard Bacta Shot will also continue to heal for very close to the same amount as they have since Publish 19.

Players with a Healing Efficiency greater than 5 will see a decrease in the amount of damage healed when using standard or Improved Bacta heals. The actual amount of that decrease will depend on the level of the heal and the value of the player's Healing Efficiency.

Right now, all players are using the function values for the Advanced version of the heal to calculate the amount of damage healed. This change addresses that issue by using differing function valuesbased onthe level of the heal ability.

Yes, but what about MCM's or MD's using Bacta Shot? That is the question we are all asking. Currently a CM or Doc with a lot of healing efficiency will heal for 1200ish using Bacta Shot. Should a CM or Doc expect to keep healing for that much with Bacta Shot as they were before this will go live, since there exists no Advanced or Improved versions of Bacta Shot?

My translation is that a MCM or MD will see a decrease in the heals they would get using Bacta Shot because it is a standard skill and not an Improved or Advanced one, hence their healing is getting nerfed when using Bacta Shot.

Improved Bacta Shot is granted at Doctor 2xxx.

Advanced Bacta Shot is granted at Master Doctor.

My Doc heals for 1600-ish each time. 1650 or so. Anyways, what the Dev is saying is that if you have Advanced versions of the heals, you won't notice a difference in the heal. And there IS an advanced Bacta Shotat MasterDoctor. It will put more weight into having master doc or master CM.
