I am sure our CM correspondent or some of the past correspondents would be able to confirm this. Texxie, what do you know about spider venom and making poisons? Is this something that is coming? Or is this an elaborate ruse by someone with a history?
Oh yeah it can. I know 4 people on my server with these venoms. I won't touch them now since they are not supposed to be in game, but the day that cave goes live I will craft some and put up screenshots on here.
If so, you could combine Spider Venom with Rancor Bile. Get a 5-600 effectiveness poison with 200 charges.

It replaces an infection amplifier. And as cool as charges from rancor bile would be, I been experimenting with range and the rancor biles KILL the range on poisons/diseases
Either way, I am going to have some diseases and poisons on Gorath that will be just wrong lol

/shrug Your call. I finally bought 55k of that awesome Yavin Fiberplast, so I now have the best CM resources that have ever spawned on the server.

2) Griggs, we'll have to get our hands on a few of these and play...see about the max effectiveness, what happens if you max the range out with rancor bile etc.
BTW, I don't know if anyone cares, but I have +67 CM effectiveness tapes and +24 CM use tapes, and I have prepared quantitative tests that will prove conclusive whether:
A) CM use tapes work
B) CM effect tapes work
C) If there really is a +25 cap (i.e. 125 eff at master)
I will post the results, along with my methods onto this forum for the rest of the CMs to peruse.

Yes I did. I found out that the poison was much less effective than the disease was simply because a master doctor can cure up to 1200 tick of poison with high quality cure poison Cs and a +25 wound treatment shirt or clothing.
The disease however on the other hand has decimated many opponent during the guildwar which I was involved in since it required 3-4 application of cure disease to remove.
Again, currently the drop rate is simply mind boggling. I think it very conceivable that this will be changed or fixed.
I've seen as high as 370 power on those venoms which has equated to 450-500 base effectiveness single diseases. That's about 1000 tick mind wound. Very unpleasant.

Actually, the rate of the drop IS too high. It isn't a reason to nerf CM though, but it IS a reason to nerf the drop rate
Acklay respawn, from what I've heard, is somewhere along the lines of 20 minutes. So it can be camped endlessly and looted via macro...
