Hmmm I dont recall the name now. No one I knew.
The funny part of the story was that I had made the range stims by accident when I first picked up CM not noticing they were different than area stims. I was glad I had them because my Jedi friend kept running way from me when I tried to use my doc stims.
After that little lesson I keep a few range stims as well as area stims.

Edited my first post, didn't mean to act like a flametard, just realized that you guys are so jumpy because of all the flames you get from other professions.

I know that sometimes Combat Medics can have a bad rap about being "cowards" in PVP but I am a Master Combat Medic on Flurry server and I do a lot of PVP quite regularly. Yes I throw Poisons and disease, but afterwards I'm right up there bustin their ass with my Teras Kasi skills.
Also I throw way more Area Stims as a support player to my guild buddies than Poisons. The ONLY time I throw poisons is when I'm in some serious PVP or if were hunting Krayt Dragons or Kimogilas etc...

I go through area stims like crazy. I only make mine out of janta blood and our whole town keeps me stocked with em. Mostly use them in pve, krayts, elders that sort of thing. They are very handy in the dungeons and on the vette too, since the area effect still goes throught walls
Now in pvp I rely on my doc skills more, but lately all we fight are jedi soI stack emand start tossing area stims. Jedi go down quick if I can get 3 off, with a stack over 2300 they usually run tho. Of course I seem to get alot of attention these days so I usually wait for my group to fully engage the jedi and just heal til I can get my shots in, otherwise I die really fast
We had the zerg come after us for payback, was funny seeing over a dozen jedi with support running around town.

being able to chuck astimm has to be one of the coolest abilities in the game imo. they come in very handy whe you hunt with a bunch of ranged profs(commandos, riflemen,BH's,carbineers) that keep running away everytime you try to heal them.
with ranged stims and area stims i can stand my ground and just chuck as needed
i picked up combat med for mind heals mostly but then ended up mastering and i think i use more stims than poisons cause i dont PvP and nor does my guild.so heals in PVE against NS and rancors are a lot more useful to my team mates than poisons. dont get me wrong i'll chuck a health area poison when i get the chance but i prefer to save myself for that critical heal or mind heal

Depends greatly on what I'm doing.
I've done a couple of DWB runs recently, and went through quite a few area stims. I got to toss a poison on the occasional Deathwatch, but it wasn't worth it unless it was one of the tougher ones. And an area poison for the swarms of mine rats to help them go down faster. But mostly healing and mind-healing the TKs as they spammed themselves out. If poison worked on SBDs however, I wouldn't be able to carry enough. :-P
For krayt hunting, I stack poisons first, then heal the tank(s) from a relatively safe distance.
I tend to save poison for longer fights is probably the best way to summarize that.

damn no one quoted the original post, lol.
I just went to the Vette yesterday, and with me and a master healer Jedi, we kept our group alive, I area heal and heal mind while the JEdi healed my mind wounds.

I do what i have to do at that time... Simple as that.
To even compete in pvp, i have to throw at least one poison (mainly mind) so i can try a random pool hit with my pistol skills - Just how unbalanced it is atm.

i'm a fake cm
i use area healing
gotta say area stims are my favorite part of cm, and mind heals are so handy
poisons are fine but everyones a jedi or a doc, or has resist buffs, so they don't actually tend to help much, at least on flurry

I for one use a hell of a lot of area heals and it costs me a fortune, but i get a lot of enjoyment out
of helping other players to stay alive. And if it's just hunting or killing Tuskens i don't care if Imp or Reb
i heal the lot.The best fun though is trying to keep the Noobs on there feet.
