Thread: How many true Combat Medics Actually use area healing.

Sry about the way i addressed this question, wasn't really meaning to use it as a flame, just as a professional poll on how many use both healing and poisens, and at what percentage. I myself am a CM on bloodfin who on the last couple of DWB hunts used lots of stims and kept my team alive, and i barely have tried using poisens yet, because myself consider them somewhat....weak in my eyes.

I stacked a 1500 worth of poison on a Jedi a few days ago. That same day I blew through 16 full Area C stimpacks, 3 ranged stimpack E's, and blackbarred my MIND while at the DWB. I only lost 3 on that run since I miss judged 2 full packs being enough for a single engagement after which I'd pull more out of the crate....I learned to hate SBD's that night.
Combat Medic isn't just about poison. But its also not just about healing. The real masters are the experts in both areas.

LOL that noob is just mad becasue he got owned by a CM. If you are really that angry, why not quit the game and eat your carrots like mommy told you to do.

Not all of us have CM just for poison and disease you know. One of my characters happens to be MCM just for support, i think i've tossed
4 maybe 5 poisons with this char. But i cant even count have many area stim packs and ranged stim packs i have used.
So don't put everyone in the same box, just because some do it doesnt mean everyone do.

As a doctor/combat medic, I spend about 40% of my PvP time throwing combat medic dots, about 40% using doctor cures (primarily area dot cures, but the occasional rez or state cure), and 20% throwing area stims.
Why aren't area stims used more? Because it's rare that anyone is close to death because of health or action. As long as 75% of PvP damage is of the mind variety and mind remains unhealable, area stims will never really be needed on the PvP battlefield.
PvE is completely different. For PvE, it's almost all about area stims (and the occasional cure and the very rare rez, if I am doing my job).

i use area stims all the time, i got CM mostly for the support. I like to help my Guildies when we go into battle together. I think the mind heals are the "best" part of being a CM.

Area stims, Uber pwnzer 700 stack job, you name it we throw it!

I use area stims 99% of the time, and its true not all us CM are /throw poison /run and hide, I am a CM/DOC and I am a healer to my group 1st and throw posions 2nd, usually only if someone targets me or charges to back them off. There are other CM in the group usually who like to poison first, and heal 2nd so I leave it to them unless you shoot me first

"When do you use stims" is a more PC way to toss out the question.
1. High end content such as the DWB and Vette. As mentioned before, you can go through a ton of stims while ponding a SBD.
2. When PvPing with Jedi. Jedi do not seem to attack or be attacked at the mind pool nearly as often as non Jedi.
3. Helping a Jedi with a little BH problem. I had a very new Jedi get attacked by a same faction TKM BH. I just stood next to her and hit her with mind heals and range stims. (not area stims as they will result in a TEF in the wrong direction).
