If you think our class is so uber godly then why do you see so many commandos and bounty hunters?

Go get eyeshot by a BH a lot more, then coming whining to me about how overpowered mind poison is.

Go cry nerf elsewhere. Half our stuff doesn't even WORK, we don't need people pissed off because they got killed by a CM once to come crawling in here screaming NERF! just in case the devs ever do decide to read this forum.

oh, it takes somewhere between 100 and 200 mind per toss of poison or disease depending on your focus... so dont think we can go just tossing this crap around like water. and that mind cost is no matter if its an A,B, C, or aoe. its a LARGE cost. you seem to have this odd impression that we loiter around the battlefield wielding packs of death for hours on end. not so in the least. if we dont hit, we die, same as you. if we hit, our target dies, same as you. you guys should feel lucky that you can at least get a DB in. cause half the time i poison someone I die and someone else gets the DB. its a faction players nightmare. you guys at least have a skill that allows you to take credit for your incaps with the long range DB. CMs are left giving up their own faction out in favor of the party's...

BHs have been overpowered since release and will always be overpowered because the fanbois love the class and SOE likes money more than balance...

commandos are just the FOTM...watch them get the shaft soon...

and we are still overpowered but just not the FOTM because FOTM classes can dish out all this uber damage and not die...

we are suicide bombers we will probably die getting a AE mind poison in...but we will just come back from the cloning center and DB...

mind poison is a 99% death sentence...

Why does a CM or any class have to be as uber as another (or even compared to)??... you want to be uber play an uber class... the funny thing is we are the uberless... our range sux our ham cost sux and our skill needs suck... All men are created equal? then why isnt my d*ck as large as john holmes'... This game is just like real life in that if you wanna keep up with the jones' go work where dr.jones works. if ya cant make a side salad how ya gonna make it to chef?

tactics, friendship, and teamwork... a CM craves not these things... hes required to have them.

Man Im starting to wish theyd just give you kids gas masks... and CMs can get some woodshop goggles for those eyeshots...

I don't even know if you can compare CM's to any other elites. They are relatively unique compared to the cookie-cutter combat jocks out there. Or even to the money-hungry miners and crafters. The problem is that people want to have a way to defend agains everything. Well, unfortunately, that's just not going to be possible. Something (read as: MIND POISON) is always going to be able to get through that composite armor.

Listen, you're not invincible. None of us are. And that tangle pistol made with advanced components is just as dangerous to you as mind poison... yeah, ok, the bug of waking up in the cloning facility still poisoned sux. But so does the fact the BH's get MORE pistol skill in ONE line of their tree than pistoleers get in their ENTIRE tree. So, we deal.

We're here to have fun...

And you better believe that I am going to drop mind poison on a combat-jock in pvp. Cause thats the oonly weapon I GET as a combat medic. (the rest is sort of supurfluous)

the simple fact is that this game really has no role for a CM...

the devs won't make a role and the devs haven't come out with thier vision of the role CMs should play...

right now with KD timer and buffs in, people dont need healing...because its easy to heal themselves.

the major factor is mind damage and we cant heal that, so healing isnt really a factor in game. So the support aspect of CM is a bit weak...

we used to be able to use poisons without LOS with IMHO really defined us as the support class...we could heal and attack from behind cover...keep out of LOS and heal but still add supplemental damage...

But LOS is out...we have AE unhealable damage, we need to get in range and LOS. thats basically turned us into heavy damage dealers at short range much like a commando.

With KD timers in healing is not an issue because people arent KD spammed so they can heal themselves and mind damage becomes more important.

hence now all we are are sucide bombers that run in and drop a AE mind poison...

its not about teamwork its not about tactics...

the problem is where in the heck does a CM fit into the game?

right now the CM is basically a AE mind poison and thats all...i dont see how that fits in with our entire medical training...sounds like we are akin to commandos more than doctors...

Actually I still find heals usefull in pvp. Specially with the ammount of damage commando's do and pets still do full damage. Not sure on your server but on mine everyone is a CH, at least novice so pets run amock.

Aye, I've been a master for about a week and a half and I started over the weekend gathering up ressources to make the "dreaded" Mind C's. Ok, so not all the ressources were great, but I had all advanced compopnents made by a Doc (much thanks to him for doing this). I decide to try it out against some ppl up in Theed.

First try: Loading...oh wait, gunfire, **edit**...oh yay I'm still alive, what a bunch of wuss, not killing me yet AH ! Throw a bomb, 2 poisonned outta 8 (WEEEEEE!!). I die, but I watch 2 get incapped by the poison.

Second try: Different time, different day, load up in Theed get someone close to the starport. Throw, hit. He dies within seconds. Yay.

Thrid try: I refer you to second try.

Fourth: Decide to load in Moenia and goto Shuttle Port C in Theed so that I won't be killed while loading. I pass the Cantina, 2 entertainers that I could poison...nah those guys suffer enough from ppl not tipping. I look around, someone's watching the star port from afar. Get in range, throw a bomb. Resisted. Throw another one. Resisted again. Now my ennemy sees me (guess he wasnt looking, or was just wondering what the hell was happening) and shoots with his flamethrower. Before I get cooked I throw a third. Resisted.

Fifth: Same as above goto Moenia load into shuttle c. See someone close to the star port. Throw. Resist. Throw. Resist. Spammed eyeshot. I die.

What I think is happening is this: (and please let me know if I'm off the track) I think the resist factor is not person vs poison but really lvl vs lvl. I know we don't have lvls per say, but when you take a mission you get a mission rating from the terminal. I'm a pistoleer and every time I get a new level, my mission rating goes up one. So I'm thinking that the persons we get resisted against are the persons who are higher lvl then us. The way I see lvls beeing counted is like, each fighting box you get gets you one point, or something like that. But CM doesn't give you a point, so when ya go into a fight, you get resisted against BH and Commandos very easily. I also know for a fact that the damage rating on your weapon increases your rating (try taking a mission with a flamethrower equipped, see the difference). So...what I'm trying to say is IF (huge if) this is correct, or even partially, that the system should be adapted somehow. If it does work on a lvl vs lvl thing, then how are we suppose to ever poison a BH or Commando ? I dont know if anyone could try this with some friends see if I'm off the mark.

Poison is way too powerful indeed, those Master Doc/Master CMs are a little overpowered.

But sad thing is...next thing we know they nerf the CM, and our ranged healing will be lowered probably. Sigh...nothing is ever balanced, it's always "tweaked to obscene proportions."

PPl, it's not overpowered when compared against the DPS of othercombat classes.
