I hope your not talking to me about the one star. I could care less about the star system on the forums, it's turned off. No annoyance that way. You were one starred by someone else and had you said nothing, I wouldn't ever have known.

I'm not ignoring you. I specificly said lets get the venom actually dropping again before we examine the frequency of loot drops.

arguing with a coorspondant wont get you anywhere. It his job to keep us with little smiles on our face, and make sure we dont cancel our credit cards, or unsescribe to SWG. He is not trying to offend you, he is only pointing out the facts, no matter how much they may hurt.

Actually, that ISN'T the Correspondents Job.

Correspondents aren't paid representatives of SOE, they don't work for SOE, they aren't here to keep 'smiles' on your faces. Correspondents are here to voice your concern regarding your profession to the devs. That is the sum total of their responsibility. If the devs choose to listen or not, or to put a smile on your face or not, is up to them and is in no way, shape or form the responsibility of the Correspondent.

But yes, so far, the Medical Profession Correspondents have always pointed out the facts regardless of how much it may 'hurt'...

The way it used to be was just fine. Only thing we need is for it to start dropping again. I think it should be a rare drop and when it does drop, high powered venom should be even more rare. Fact is I clean house just using base venoms, I save the big ones for jedi and resist buff people. We are still very much hated in the pvp world as a class, I don't want to make that worse

I would trade high powered venom for more readily available base stuff if we were given more support skills and more use on the battlefield. Heck I go through way more janta blood then I do venom anyway....lol

Oh on a side note, has anyone been getting that donkawuh (sp?) venom anymore? I really like that stuff against resist buffs. May be lower power but the potency rocks. If I had my way I would rather get my hands on alot of that. It has been extremely useful lately.

You only clean house vs newbies.

The game should be balanced for people who know what they're doing. I.e. Janta cures/buffs

In those kind of situations, even 150+ power spider venoms with 200 potency have trouble sticking.

as i said before

Janta Blood drop from missions

Spider venoms drop from one monster

this is simply a chronic imbalance in the game and if you would get a grip and realise that by fighting real PvPers rather than riding someones leg because of their position on a forum, be it a correspondent or a blue glowie.

"riding someones leg..."

Yeah, that's it exactly. It's not like people have their own opinions or anything... sheesh.

I do not ride their leg. If you know how to PvP then you are capable of 1 of 2 things. Combat Medic, with some other profession. Any ranged profession has the ability to KD, or to at least delay them. Pistols Delay= Smuggler Line. If you have a melee profession, then you have the ability to Dizzy them, na dthen posture change them. So if they are a doc, you should have time to throw and KD. If you are a rifleman, then you have basically won. You can throw even a weak effect on them, they will waste mind curing it, and all the time you keep distance and headshot them.

What if your poisons don't even stick at 200 potency because the resists are too strong!

Actually PvP more than duels with newbies who aren't doctors please.

This is a clear competition between doctors and combat medics and doctors win hands down. If they didn't I wouldn't have to have doctor in my template too.....

that's not balance.

Yes, and Janta blood is used in several craftable items while spider venom is used for only one purpose. If janta blood was used in a single item alone I would agree with you.

I agree with the janta blood thing, if they spawn off missions and ACTUALLY arn't broken, why can't the spider be. Or we could have a cave that has like 5 different path ways and at the end of each one is a fire breathing spider (that isn't broken) This would limit people from camping the spawns (could make it long enough so its only possible to run to 1 other before the one you killed previously spawns. Or we could do it like originally posted and make more of the things drop it. There are a lot of CMs out there, and 1 spider isn't going to do the trick.

I really don't see any great imbalance here. Sure, a doc can use Janta cures to remove poison/disease before it ticks. That doesn't make the poison/disease useless. A doc who is curing isn't attacking or healing damage. A CM alone, with no other combat skills, is not a great offensive threat against a doctor, even with venom. Doctor is the paper to CM's rock.

Making more creatures drop venom would be very unbalancing. It would bring us right back to all the nerf cries from before the resist buffs and area cures were added. Yes, that was a pretty hard hit, but CM didn't die. If you're dependent on venom to be effective, then you're doing something wrong.
