Thread: So wait..you people want Mind to be non-incap?
krazyqban wrote:i think cm is abused, when you thorw it with a food, you can throw poisons/disease every second
Anything can, and has been abused....this is no different than when people abused knockdown (and still do).
human nature is to pick the easiest thing I guess

Try any profession that gets knocked down regularly. I.E. swordsman, pikeman, and some ranged professions. I may be a combat medic on one of my characters now, but on my other I'm a pikeman...and dizzy knockdown is really annoying. I'm glad it was nerfed, because it was abused. I used to be a TKM, I used it to start just about every battle before it was nerfed. I watch many duels now between TKAs and others, and first thing to ever get spammed is knockdown.
I now take knockdown protection if I'm doing PvP since it's still abused.

I find it funny that the only people I ever hear complaining about being KD are the combat medicsActually most ranged profession hate KD/dizzy as their defenses against it are virtually nill. Melee profession surprisingly have high defenses against melee attacks AND ranged attacks.

He who has the most DOTS wins. Actually its whoever has the most MIND wins.
The problem with MIND damage is that so many professions use MIND as the main fuel for their specials. Sony knew this and made the MIND generally smaller and not able to be buffed to the same degree as the action and health bars. This made it vulnerable to any profession that could do MIND damage and more PvP fights have ended when one or the other's MIND his 0.
Working with this some of us believed that if you made the MIND bar strictly a full or empty stat it would make PvP and playing more challenging (pve too). Doctor buffs are pretty much overpowered and armor is just insane but people still want more fights to be ended by emptying the health and action bars.
With the revamp coming armor, buffs, and specials are all going to reworked and lowered plus the mind will be healable. PvP will have to be re-thought and the current kings of PvP will probably lose their title. So pretty much the non incap mind idea is no longer an option as we'll ALL have to wait for whats in store for us next month.
I can get my mind up to 5200 with the right combination of food and stuff, but if I fight a pikeman or a CM its game over for me, their dots take me out before I can break through their armor.
Melee classes only have super high defenses if they dabble into all the other professions. check the trees.

I would suggest doing research before judging people.
1. I did a heavy amount of PvP when I was a TKM, CH. I stopped when 80% kinetic armor came more than rare, and my wookie was armorless.
2. I did some PvP when I was a commando. I count...1 battle.
3. I just picked up combat medic, and haven't used it in PvP at all.
Now that's cleared up, I would also look at the fact that 2 wrongs don't make it right. I don't agree with people throwing poison 1 per second, nor do I agree with people spamming knockdown either. I already mentioned the knockdown food, so ther eisn't much from there.
as far as the tissue, you're the one complaining

I've just been browsing around and I see alot of the CM saying they want healable mind pools and/or mind being non-incap.
....
Come on... 2 professions in the game DEPEND on mind damage (woop sorry I forgot about ur mind diseases, 3 professions) and you people want them to have to HOPE they can hit one of the other 2 random HAM bars for an incap?
Common sense people. I mean healable mind pools might be useful if they found a way to avoid constant abuse (I liked the blue milk but you get full too quick. Mind should be readily healable just to balance everything out (if your health or action goes down to half and you've got good stims do you really care?) butmind still needs to be incap.
Well... the other 9 combat professions are depending on Health and Action which (as it stands at the moment) are both Non-Incap pools. Especially if you don't have access to stun damage.
The entire combat system needs reworking... hey, isn't that what they are doing at the moment?
Well, it can't come too soon. Now my friends are leaving the game due to lack of casual content and broken PvP. I don't want to be left alone.

Thats nice isn't it? I wish I could do that. Come to think of it EVERY profession wishes they had powerboost but instead they have to work up the unarmed/meditate tree to get it. Unfortunately I cant get it if I want to keep my master status (even though every elite can get it, master another, and have change left over) in hopes that the devs actually give us a real use on the battlefield others than being a one shot disposable. Powerboost should have been taken out of the game a long time ago. CM's aside it gave TK's just one more overpowering aspect over all other professions.
Hey bud, not all CM's pack havla ya know especially in PvP. The food is expensive and spamming that much poison/disease can get REAL expensive. And if you're losing to pikemen DoTs you need to work on your pvp game buddy (mind fire is about the only viable DoT vs. a powerboosted TK)
On sunrunner I've only seen 1 example of havla being used in PvP and that was a base raid. No one else is bothering with that crap against small groups or 1 on 1 as its a waste. Word of mouth from griefers usually starts an avalanche of wild rumors and sightings and propogates the hate.
Now be nice and say something nice about CM's on our own boards plz

1) Oh no, you can get power boost and be a master CM, its in the second meditation box of TKA. Hmm now what can I master with Meditate 4 and MCM...oh thats right NOTHING
2) Not everybody has doctor in their template so any kind of dot will take you down after a while. even a 110 tick janta knife will take your mind out if you cant kill the other guy fast enough, stack a 250 tick mind fire and mind poisonpike, thats 500 mind damage every like 10 seconds, and pikeman isnt usually a main pvp profession, usually they will switch to TKA or swords and hammer you in the mind which will take it down faster, obviously you have never fought without dots, fights can go on for a long time now adays. Ok I'll stand corrected on this issue even though I still say those items are rare (high damage, mind fire, and decent potency) If someone can switch out weapons that fast either by macro or just quick hand then sure I could see that happening. I fight without DoTs all the time. Its my headshot3 that usually does the most damage anywayThank whatever god for thak!
