Yeah AoE's can be brutal although mostly from Jedi dervish. You can't do much about them other than move in and out of their ranged after your debuffs and try and limit the damage you take. If jedi are your main concern stick with high energy recon and a psg as much as possible. Melee are rare these days on the pvp field and you have little to fear against jedi aoe powers which are kinetic.

If the jedi does single you out theres not much you can really do about it other than hope someone doesn't break your paralyze as you try to get away. Yeah I know about lag. When we hit Theed to repel rebel incursion my game turns into more of a slide show thing when all of the new and totally unneccesary flash animations start givng the gerbil in my video card a stroke.

I prefer to keep them close, lead with paralyze then debuff. If you let the range guys get away from you it's gonna hurt. Against someone I know has a nasty range I may skip the dots, so I can reuse paralyze. A quick paralyze then sit down for a sec will regen your mind bar so you can keep going

The ranges are semi-dumb. I understand them not being 64m anymore but 10m for debuffs is not practical either. After attachments and clothingI am at 200 on ranged and melee defense with a Doc/CM/Carbs template but that is still melee fodder under 10m. Debuffs should be effective at 32m range as well.

BTW, is there any comment from the dev's as to whether or not a cybernetic arm will ever increase range for CM's? Grenades are ok but stimpacks aren't?

It sounds silly, but you can paralyze, then sit down and regen your action and mind full in a couple seconds, very useful.

My Pikewoman has a better AOE You can't do much about them other than move in and out of their ranged after your debuffs and try and limit the damage you take.Seems to be true for every Melee. At least stay6m away and the only thing they can use is /lunge. andthat doesnt KD anymore. AMls Jedi (patch19) can KD you upto 35m and a Powers Jedi too. If jedi are your main concern stick with high energy recon and a psg as much as possible. PSG only resist ranged energy. (Saber Throw does NOT count). So, unless the Jedi is using a gun the PSG will be useless. Melee are rare these days on the pvp field and you have little to fear against jedi aoe powers which are kinetic. Or electrical damage

If the jedi does single you out theres not much you can really do about it other than hope someone doesn't break your paralyze as you try to get away.Hmm, if your singled out, does it really matter what prof it is? Unless its a Brawler/marksman group? Yeah I know about lag. When we hit Theed to repel rebel incursion my game turns into more of a slide show thing when all of the new and totally unneccesary flash animations start givng the gerbil in my video card a stroke. Try to tune down partial effects in option. IIRC it was under Graphics. Wont reduce all effects but most of them.

Pre-CU i didnt fear Jedi, I feared the CM.

It seems you are getting back to that point. Not bad at all. As long as I have a CM/Doc in my group

And that is something most ppl seem to forget: By nerfing other profs I weaken my group. Thats why I hate nerfs. 1vs1 situatons (duels) are no real test if your template is viable "on the field" (unless you are a BH ) But it seems I am drifting off topic here. Sry...

i do pretty much the same...... i'm a cm/bh....... i try and start close or heal untill i get close... then paralyze.... then debuff there action and fighting speed...... then i fire.... take a kd shot... posien....if they are a medic then i debuff there mind.....healing whenever i drop under half..... after i finsih with that.. i still don't move.... but use duelest stance.... and spam kd/bpdy/crtical shot... usually works... if it doesn't i cna hold most jedis off for a little while. Force sap kills me though...cuz whe ni am done dotting i have very little mind... only enough for an odd heal.
