...in conclusion it is a REAL shame that one can read the manual (YES I do r t f m) and CLEARLY see that is says you can master THREE professions and have enough points left over to dabble in a fourth. but what it does NOT say is you cannot master ANY three professions just some particular combinations...

Funny you should mention that...

I have a good friend on the Kauri server who is going up 2 or 3 of the tk trees, and by the time he is done will be powerful enough to take on lots of stuff in PvP. he also has the 3 non-crafting trees in doc and is going cm 0-0-0-4...for the terrain negotiation and to be able to use the poisens...

I on the other hand will be MCM, doc crafting 4(eventually...) and pistoleer.

so...in the end my friend will have fairly powerful poisens that i can make him, while being TKA and having the terrain negotiation bonuses of CM. the doc abilities allow him to rez and buff, along with heal for a good solid 1-2k per hit. I will be able to support him with fan shot, stopping shot, ranged stim d (or e's-they have those?), along with diseasing and poisening my opponent.

in short, together we will have the attributes of a buffed MCM with a large portion of TK abilities, my friend alone will be able to do fine, while together with me he will be able to attack and i will be ableto heal him from 40m and use stopping shot for a nice amount of damage...
