I THINK that is right...You have to have marksman as a requirement of CM. I have 4 points left over at Master Pistoleer, and master CM. You have to spend that extra 15 for novice brawler, and go up the unarmed line...you won't have enough.

Correct?

Sorry...That hurts.

You can hang in there for Space Exapnsion, and pray they give us more Skill Points for everyone to get novice pilot.

GREAT tool, but it made me cry...

i will hang in there with as many points in CM as i can. i am about to master the profession, then i am going to have to drop skills in it as i advance in TK so i can master that.

i will PRAY that any more skill points given us will NOT be limited to the use of pilot

the more i think about this, the more it bothers me.

a player can master the Doctor profession, Creature Handler and many many many others with Teras Kasi, but the one i personally would like to see used more in combination CANNOT be done.

Doctor is a common choise. you can go out solo, buff yourslef, and heal yourself very well and stay alive for a VERY long time soloing uber mobs. OR you can go with a group, buff the entire group, sell stims, buffs and heals and make yourself some money on the side...

Creature Handler is another common choise as you have pets to tank for you and allow you to stay in close to uber mobs and only be hit part of the time as the mob(s) are also concerned with the pets.

let's take a look at TKA for a moment. a melee class. as a Master Combat Medic / Master Teras Kasi Artist, a player would make an AMAZING addition to any hunting party, group, or guild. they would be on the front lines, mixing in up with hands and feet, lobbing heals OUT of the frey to their ranged partners, and INTO the frey to thier melee partners. because of the required Master Medic, this type of healer would be both a 'hands-on' (no TKA pun intended) healer in the field as well as the ranged support healer.

i am NOT going to pretend even for a moment that i did not also think about the WONDERFUL advantage a Master Combat Medic / Master Teras Kasi Artist would have over the MTK/Master Doctor profession in keeping ranged fighters from KITING while fighting them. 'okay...run, i will just lob poisons and diseases at you...what is that? you want to fight up close now? BIG mistake friend...'

the PROBLEM i already see with this is the IMMEDIATE cry for MORE nerfs if tactical player were actually able to create such a character. as with any good argument i must address both sides. those used to being able to run from Teras Kasi Artists would be in for a RUDE awakening when they realized that the Terrain Negotiation of a Master Combat Medic is no joke. they would be most upset when the TKA stopped running after them and just lobbed a nice mind poison to slow thier spamming of ranged specials. players like this would have to come up with better tactics than run and shoot. i am NOT suggesting ALL ranged players play in this manner, just the ones who cry 'NERF THE _______ PROFESSION FOR BEATING ME IN COMBAT"

in conclusion it is a REAL shame that one can read the manual (YES I do r t f m) and CLEARLY see that is says you can master THREE professions and have enough points left over to dabble in a fourth. but what it does NOT say is you cannot master ANY three professions just some particular combinations...

i find that disheartening

The problem with wanting to do MCM and TCM is that CM is a ranged profession and was obviously designed to be coupled with ranged combat abilities. I agree that MCM/TCM would be a kiler template, but no better than, say, Master Commando/Master BH (also impossible). In regard to the manual's statement about mastering 3 professions and dabling in a fourth, if you look closer at what you would like to do, it's actually mastering 3 (medic, CM and TKA) and dabling in 2 more (Brawler and Marksman). Yes I realize that the last 2 a required for the elite profs, but essentially the requirement is that you dabble in those professions.

I empathize with you. I have felt the pain of comming a couple skill points short of a desired template myself. How you spend the 250 points is the biggest challenge of the game.

yeah well you can't combine master BH and master CM either. Big deal. Some combinations wont work, it is part of the game design. Get over it. If this is a game breaker for you then you wont be missed.

LOL wow! you are even more bitter than i and that is not easy to do. i can be one bitter, salty, miserable troll at times, but hey, it is good to know there are others more miserable than myself out there... it is no game breaker and if i stay or if i go SOE will be making its money soNONE of us woldbe missed (only ALL of us would be missed). take a deep breath and smile for once.

i have found an acceptable template. Master Teras Kasi and Combat Medic 4\0\4\4. i dont need the ranged healing speed, nor doi need the heal mind command, so it is an acceptable sacrifice to be able to create and lob powerful stims, poisons and diseases

Out of curiousity what do you think would be the best line to drop if someone were to do the reverse? Master CM and only take 3 lines of TKA. What would be the three lines you recommend?

wow that is a tough one. really tough. all of the lines in TK are important. i think i would have to say take a template of 2/4/4/2 though many others may disagree with this. 2 in meditation at least gives you Powerboost. and you get some of the benifits of presicion striking as well.

that is just mho
