Thread: CM powerlevelling exploit or simply gaming the system?
I was a newbie hunting with my guild mates on LoK. Not a single point grinded, fun the whole time. Not for everyone, and it will take a few weeks hunting with groups, but it can be alot more fun...
To each his own...
I see nothing wrong with either way...

At master combat medic those are only 240 XP for the single and 250 XP for each creature the AOE hits, that's not entirely amazing if you ask me, now if you get a bunch of tumblers, poison all their health pools, you could easily get 2000 or more med XP per AOE stim C toss... If you're really hellbent on grinding I just don't see poisons being used in PvE being more viable then the poison/tumble or healing the wounds on a pet rancor or something after you had someone set it on fire.
First off, this info is for those newbie CMs that are pursuing their holo or are confused on how to get XP from less traditional methods. Most CMs do not choose to dabble in Doctor so your advice as far as buffing would not help them....
Second, your methods detail dependance on other players for their XP. Whether it be in the cantina or using someones pet or PAYING several players to macro AFK tumble, you are still depending on other players. AE stims truly cost not much more to make than these poisons and there are CMs out there like myself who cater to holo grinders and newbie CMs to help them level up.
Say you go to a packed cantina and you as a new CM and a few medics are healing entertainers. You the CM decide to spam AE heals. You will still limit yourself to a finite amount of heals as there are other medics in their trying to keep up. Enter a second or third CM that is trying to level up and none of you will gain much XP.
Now go over to using poisons. At 0000 using one of my 80 eff level A singles for example, you can gain about 6700 xp per pack. At 0002 you can start using a level B single rated at 140 eff for about 11700 xp per pack.
At 0003 you can start to use an AE A 80 eff pack. Gather say 5 mobs on you and spamming the poison will net 420 xp per application. Gather 10 mobs or more and you will hit 800+xp per application. One pack at a rate of 10 mobs could net you 67200xp with no one elses help.
At 0004 you can start using 170 eff AE B packs. 179xp*10mobs*80charges=143200xp for that one AE B pack.
At 2004 you will see a better damage bonus. 230xp*10mobs*80charges=184k xp per pack.
At 4004 you will max out your damage bonus and range until you hit Master. 298xp*10mobs*80charges=238400xp per pack.
Keep in mind the only limit to this is the amount of mobs you can train on yourself. You don't have to depend on anyone else other than to purchase your poison packs. My shop stocks the rancor bile packs that are 8k-13k per pack depending on level of use and their charges. But I also keep some lower charge lower damage packs available in my shop for players who can't yet afford those. I am on the Kauri Galaxy.

Old fashion way of getting XP, what, actually playing the game the way it was meant to be played? hehehe, Sounds like people need way too much instant gratification. I sat in the med center for about 3 days, healing people, curing wounds, etc... Talked to some really nice folks, made a healthy amount of cash, and leveled to 4/3/2/4 in no time. I don't understand this race mentality, cause in the end, once you get to Master CM, or Master whatever, you're just going to be back on the boards complaining how there's nothing to do.

And we love you for it, cause you also usually have a stocked vendor, with sweet poisons. I personnally don't like the crafting aspect, so I'll use a vendor whenever possible. But, in the end, I enjoy it. I enjoy exploring the different PA's for some hidden away vendor treasure. And when I find one, it's a happy day, cause now I've got a good supply of stuff.
In the end, everyone is free to do what they want. If you want to grind to the top, so be it. But don't complain when you're bored, or the game has no content, when, in the end, you've basically circumvented it.
Thanks for being a sicko Gnuut, and rock on Kirus
