Thread: CM powerlevelling exploit or simply gaming the system?

- Poison doesn't kill the target.

- Throwing poison doesn't toggle your 'peace' away.

So here's a nearly AFK levelling scheme I noticed today (been doing CM for about 2 days):

  1. stock up on a pile of poisons

  2. outside coronet, find a durni that you don't like very much

  3. disarm

  4. from 10m, throw a poison

  5. hit peace

  6. throw a poison every 5 seconds, until your mind drains

  7. wait for your mind to recover, got to6

Nowreplace 'poisons' with 'really good poisons'.Replace'poisons' with'area poisons' and replace 'durni' with 'durni cluster'.

Bingo powerlevelling while standing still.

Some might call it efficient. Some an exploit. The consensus?

i call it spending your time leveling the best way.

it's not an exploit, and you're not afk=legal

some carebears may think it's cheap though

Since server up (approx 10-15 minutes) I've gotten over 50k medical XP from one gubber lair.

I'll be mastering c.m. AND doctor today I think...

Wow, so they left it like this. That's kind of sad. How extreme is it? Well, here's an example..

I'm half asleep so I'm far from being efficient right now yet, nonetheless here's how fast I'm levelling.

At server up (4:45a) I had

CM3004

Right now, I have

CM4404

and trained Novice Doctor. Further, in doctor I now have

Doc1440

and am holding off on levelling further because I have other skills I want to preserve. Thus I plan to polish off CM and then start dumping some CM to finish Doc.

That's...

1 CM level 4

1 whole column of CM

Novice Doc

2 whole columns of Doc

1 Doc level 1

...in under 3 hours.

That ridiculously fast levelling with essentially zero risk of a single clone.

Waste of poisons imo, I'd rather use AOE stims in the cantina, they're easier to replace.

For those that have the money, it is a much faster way to level. There is a finite number of times you can use an AE stim in a cantina before it starts to become useless. Having 2 Combat Medics in the cantina for instance would basically all but negate the benefit. Not to mention hogging all the medical xp from other newbie medics. However you could literally sit there for hours on end applying poison like mad for full xp. Even if another combat medic came by and spammed poison as well, you would still both recieve XP....

But you guys do know there's something even better for Docs right, get a non CH pet for yourself, call it, buff all 6 of it's stats, and viola a ton of med XP (and since it's easier to make buff packs then it is to make poisons I think that works out to be better), plus you can just store your pet and have the buffs be wiped then you just recall the pet and buff it all over again.

There's so many ways to just farm tons of med XP in this game it's not even funny...some are less cost effective then others though.

Woot! This is great information. As a noobie to the CM profession, it has been frustrating trying to get healing xp, either the "old fashioned" way of hunting parties/hosptals or the cantina way. Having gotten lucky with a few tumblers I am 0-0-2-4 CM and will see how this works...if I can find some poison.

Thanks again for the assistance Serverdown. Woot.

Buffing stats on a pet is still a finite method. You would still need to call the pet, buff the pet, store the pet call the pet buff the pet etc...It is still much faster to just apply the crappiest poisons to low level mobs.

Also enhances, avian meat, herbivore meat etc sell for outrageous amounts on most servers. It's a good way for a Doc to work up their XP. But if you are planning on just being a CM, then this method is by far the best.Even with the mediocre resources and non-advanced components you can still get XP at a good rate.

My CM vendor has Level ASingle and AE poisons made with Rancor Biles. For 8k I sell...

Single A Poison: 80 eff,120 pot, 80+ charges, 19 range, 5 CM med use

For 9k I sell...

AE A Poison: 80 eff, 125 pot, 80+ charges, 19 range, 15 area, 48 CM med use

Once someone can start using the AE packs, that's when the XP starts flying...

At master combat medic those are only 240 XP for the single and 250 XP for each creature the AOE hits, that's not entirely amazing if you ask me, now if you get a bunch of tumblers, poison all their health pools, you could easily get 2000 or more med XP per AOE stim C toss... If you're really hellbent on grinding I just don't see poisons being used in PvE being more viable then the poison/tumble or healing the wounds on a pet rancor or something after you had someone set it on fire.
