Thread: Solo that Dern AT ST
Yes but the pilots in an At St are behind a foot of steel in a cockpit seperated from the world and breathing air that is recylced to prevent poisons from affecting them.
I seriously dont get how every class tries to justify themselves as being able to solo anything. You are Combat MEDICS. You should not be able to go around and kill everything that moves.
I suppose you expect to get ranged heals as well as poisons that can kill any moving thing in galaxy. Theres nothing wrong with the posions working on organics but it makes no sense to be able to poison or bleed a machine in the same manner. Devs even removed bleeds from machines and hopefully they'll do the same with poisons and diseases.
The fact that creatures dont aggro you when you poison is a bug and needs to be fixed. Hopefully soon.
If you look at the home page for this site they have a picture of an AT ST with 2 open spots for the pilots to look out. There are metal shutters to slam down to protect the pilots during an attack.
I do take back that poison and disease shouldnt affect them. It isint that far fetched although machines should not be affected as much by poison/disease as biologicals.
The main problem is that diseasing them should get you a TEF and make them aggro you. That IS a bug and needs to be adressed. Thats like letting commandos walk up and toss a grenade without being aggroed.
Poisonin faction enemies doesent give you a TEF and it means you can sit there and poison them and never get attacked.
Correct me if I'm wrong but combat medics are medics with improved skills to help them survive in combat right?
That seems to imply that you all should get def bonuses not offensive bonuses. You get the ability to heal from farther away which makes you a little harder to kill but by no means should you be able to solo alot of these monsters in the game.
Ta'koka Hyho,
You are simply wrong...
I am a CM and I run faction missions all the time. Like I stated, I have not done it to a AT-ST but I have dropped mind bombs on whole camps of FACTION NPC's and everyone of them aggro'd me.
Also...it's annoying when someone from another class says what they feel another class should be.
I refuse to allow people to classify CM's as a"support" class, are you people the devs?
We have poisons, Commando's have flames, BH's have eyeshot, etc. Whyis that so hard to understand?
Naw I think Toyota Hyho just wants every class to get nerfed but not his precious class. So he can some kind of uber killing machine.
But lets bring the questions to him.
Toyota do you think that Creature handlers a class that costs a lot less than combat medic to master should be more powerful than a combat medic?
If that is true then why is Combat Medic the 3rd most point expensive class out there and not CH?
Personally, Commandos need a nerf. Why? Cause they can one shot an unarmored wookie. The same for BHs. But Combat medics cant?
So we can solo NPC Atsts. After tossing a poison and sitting down. Watching it slowly die off. How is that uber. If we have to sit and wait for it to die?
Remember we dont have heavy weapons or a pet to tank the Atst for us. While you do. So how uber is our skills if we have to sit for an hour or so to wait for it to die. While you can send your pet in and then shoot rockets at it and drop and atst in about 2 minutes 3 at most.
You keep whining and moaning about how powerful class is yet you dont play it. You have never explored our profession. You just run and shoot your guns and send in your pets to tank for you.
So untill you play my profession. Keep your mouth shut.
I wasnt the one saying that they dont agro you when you poison em. Chewie aorea and gnutt were saying it in this post and their all combat medics. If you do get aggroed then its perfectly fine the way it is.
However if u can sit there and poison npc's without being attacked then something needs to be changed.
Casper,
I don't know why you even bother to waste your time replying on statements made by a Non-Combat Medic. I'm not even going to post anymore unless he/she is a combat medic and has a valid question to ask, other than NERF the CM!!
Tsu
Actually you dont get aggroed if you covert, but you do if you have TEF.
But you want the NPC atst to aggro us if we use poison or disease on it.
Okay my question is this. How will you know you have been poisoned or diseased? I mean i can duck behind a building and come out toss my Poison or disease and all of a sudden you slowly start to feel a little sick or weaker for some reason.
Remember to that Imperial or Rebel i am just another person till i outright attack them. Which i am in a sense or am i just tossing a grenade and they just conviently are there.
What they didnt mention is that when my poison kills the NPC faction person or persons. We do not get xp or loot from the people. We just killedthem for 400xp of medical experience which most of us dont need.
So what is the point in doing it other than just doing it. We dont get rewards for dropping that ATST unlike you. When you take out rebels.
So what is the big deal? If you dont like it. Then dont do it. But dont come on here whining and moaning about somethign that you will never do or see. But only hear about.
I dont want any class to be nerfed just balanced. You might not get pes or flamethrowers but you do get diseases which hut for just as many wounds as well as good healing skills which I would kill to have.
My point is if I was able to walk up to an at st and set it on fire and then sit down and watch, and then set it on fire again people would be screaming nerf. If you attack something it should attack back period.
You do realize you have leftover points too. You could be a master combat medic with just as many points in CH as a master commando and have pets to tank for you as well.
Also why do people go by skill points to try to justify power? Lets say im a master weaponsmith/Armorsmith/Architecht. I should be able to kill all of you because I've used more skill points. Your class is a combat Medic. A medic with combat skills to make him dangerous in the battlefield. With diseases and poisons it fits the bill.
I'd be one of the first to say your class should get some defensive bonuses as well as having diseases kick in faster to make your charachters more rounded out. You have to remember a combat medic is a support proffesion not a combat proffesion.
CH is a support proffesion too which is why i took up a combat proffesion to balance it out. No one should be nerfed but you dont expect to see artisans killing at st's with ease and neither should combat medics.
On a side note can any of you confirm if At St's and imp npc's aggro you when you poison them? Being an imp I cant have any of my guildies check. If they do aggro you then nothing needs fixing at all.
Casper the problem comes from player vs player. Is that imp base bugging you? Just send in 1 combat med to kill every npc in it and they wont get touched.
Does that seem fair that a single combat med can take out an entire faction base without being attacked?
Hear is what I was saying in another post about ways to help your class without causing problems. Try to read it calmly and come up with any negatives.
Instead of having the disease stay on your body when you clone have the disease be removed and instead you are hit with a large number of wounds. Large enough to prevent you from jumping right back in the fight,
This means that you wont be able to re-enter the fray until you have healed and by then your TEF has expired, At the same time lower the amount of time it takes for the disease tick to start as an encouragment to get it healed asap. This way disease will still end fights and you lose no power at all.
I am NOT trying to flame anyone or nerf anyone. There just has to be a better way to handle several issues with this class.
