Thread: PVE is NOT the same; was NOT un-affected and NEEDS to be fixed!

oh, and for the record, Commando Rocket Launcher accuracy sucks just as, if not more, then a 100potency poison. At least we have the option of upping our potency. *shrug*

Well I am retracting my statement about it not worrying me. I have some nice singles made from spider venom and lovely bile but I am going through it too fast because I am only hitting about 60% of the time now. It is not 5% that is for sure. My potentcy was experimented to 109 and that was more then sufficient prior to the patch but that is no longer the case. Having to throw three times sometimes to hit a nightsister puts me in a precasious situation now that they have force powers.

Thank you Tex for staying on top of this as much as you have and for reporting and verifying what we have suspected.


Were you able to find out WHY there was a change? I mean, they did say that PVE would NOT be affected didn't they?


Now with this stealth nerf, can we get some attention to the armor and clothing attachments that are broken? At least if these can be fixed and we can obtain one or two desperately needed experimentation points, we might be able to craft decent packs that have this new target potency and still be strong enough to do a decent amount of damage.


That last point is, of course, assuming as I've been told many times over that these are broken. Am I right in assuming this? Because I've been told this by members of my own PA and others, I've not attempted to get any and find out for myself.

No skill mods work at a noticable level for any CM skills except experimentation and possible assembly.


Devs had stated that med use will never work.


I suspect that effectiveness will not ever work either, since it has such a strong influence on damage output, unlike accuracy mods for the pure combat profs.

I have tested potency on ahazi. My area C heath have a pot of 206 and still are resisited in PVE, about 20 % of the time, so your pot of 120 (my base) will do no good.This may be futile but, can you ask the devs to look into this further?

Well that just blows.


So 120 potency isn't going to make much of a difference? I'm getting to where I hardly play the CM anymore.


What's it going to take to get this addressed?

what i tested on a guildie was with a range of 20m posion and disease, my max throw was 27 - 30m

and wit ha 101 pot. he resisted me 5:1 ration with a 185 Pot resist was a 3:1

thats what hurts me, the distance to throw, and the resist ratio.


he was using poorly made C resist buffs,

and was able to cure both the disease and posion with one casting (I didnt stack the posion ontop of the disease)

Ok. I'm running around with poisons having a potency of about 130 and I get resisted about 1 in 20 (twice a pack). This is all PvE.

You know what guys, they said the same thing to us CH's when they nerfed the tar out of us.

PVE won't be affected, yeah right. Well good luck with your fight, you're going to need it.

Now if you could put it on a vendor you might have a chance.



....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.

at least it isnt just me last night in the geo caves I was getting resists constantly and i have the highesxt potency poisons available without looted components.

anyone notice there ticks arent as high, my ticks were cut in half and only tick 127 my potency were tehy were tickin 300+ before?

I am not trying to diminish your frustration, but welcome to my world, as master commando I miss always over 60% of the time with a grenade and if I happen to be in the area of effect I take damage from the grenade even if I miss the mob. Do your poisons poison you now? as far as my area effect attacks if doesn't affect any mobs (translates to o) that are in the area of effect if they haven't aggro'd yet. although it does aggro them. I can't use any special over 16m, and with my siganature weapon( the rocket launcher) I miss prob. 7 out of 10 shots. I would personally love to throw a grenade with your accuracy and not have to worry about getting hit by it myself.
