Just to clarify, I don't ever solo krayts. I'm also pursuing Master Rifleman. The point here is that my overall ability is hampered. I would never want to see a CM be able to solo a Krayt with no "combat" skill. My CM skills are a supplement to my combat skills.

But I was forced to take up a combat skill, because when I was Master CM Master Doc with a smidgeon of pistol, carbine, or rifle in marksman, I couldn't kill anything very quickly at all. I would probably survive a Gurreck Mission on Endor, but at the cost of many stimpacks, and my buffs worth of mission payouts would be a quarter of what a Novice TKM or Swordsman would be.

The reason there are 2 professions (CM and Doc) is because CM is DIFFERENT than Doc. It is a mixed support / offensive profession, one of the reasons it requires an entire tree in marksman. Ironically, Rifleman required one tree in marksman also. No one ever questions it as being a combat profession.

The most usefull thing about CM for me is Mind and AoE heals. Poisions eather do not have enough time to matter (in short fights) or do too little to notice (in long fights).

I do not PvP because...sadly...I would have my butt handed to me no matter what Proff I picked.

never stopped me! hehe, at least until i had a couple of jedi hand it to me after they sabred it off. ouch! that stopped me.

alright, lets try to answer this...

Texxie is working on all the changes with the devs. I don't just mean PvP, but ALL of them. he's constantly reminded about PvE CMs because I am one, and we'll trying to make sure that we're not forgotten. however, PvP CMs (and people against them) are the vocal majority, so this isn't as easy as just "lets tell the devs about this."

cut Texxie some slack, he's doing very well

Texxie is a "he"? Wow all this time I though he was a she.......have no clue why.

Vocal majority means nothing to the dev's. If they did then the revamp would have happened last month and JTL would be pushed back in favor of the smuggler revamp.

why do people always say..."CM is not a solo-ing class"? it a silly point. don't you think diseases and poisons should be more effective thenONE hammer be swung at something? I would think so, hence the reason diseases and poisons work so effectively...it was designed to work that way.

If they sabatoge CM and its relations to PVE..it would be a huge mistake.. as not everyone participates in PVP.

CM should be a soloing class. Why? Because every profession with some combat in it is a soloing class. There is no such thing as a grouping/support profession in this game. Why? Thank buffs, armor, 1 second delay specials (if we spam "specials" how special are they really) there is no need.

Things like the DWB or corvette is how thing should be everywhere. NPC's and too gimp and our stuff is too good to be of any sort of challenge.

"CM is not a soloing class."

Sheesh. No wonder I am having so much trouble. I sure wish someone had explained this to me a long time ago.

also... what about the tkm profession? you could stack melee defence and almost beat a jedi. or even stand within ... 10 mins of a jedi.. and combat medics.... nope. not a chance against one..they come in.. two three hits. dead.. meanwhile.. tkms and "stackers" could almost beat a jedi. proably could with two of these.. i thought jedi was supposed to be the "Ultimate profession" guess now.. and now.. not nerfing that.. they nerf cm..

We could go on and on about why TK really needs to be nerfed by right now we're too busy fighting against a nerf.

Honestly dont think we need any help in PvE with our poison and disease abilities. I'm more for groups and not soloing. Soloing is supposed to be the exception not the norm. In SWG its the exact opposite thanks to buffs, armor, and the ability to spam a "special attack" once every second. They dont seem so "special" now do they?

Increasing our damage in PvE only compounds the problem instead of fixing it. As to the comment of "not meant to stand there while the poison ticks".....well after watching a Swordsman tank a Krayt and winning I think that arguement was lost.

I dissagree with this statement I think we need a very important change. Our poison/disease damage needs to count towards loot rights. It clearly doesn't at the moment. We killed two DJM's on dantooine. I easily had 2x the damage of any other person there but our group didn't get loot rights. The only other person there doing significant damage was the commando and I was attacking the mind. The mind died and he still had over half the healthbar left(I also diseased health/action). So I had diseases on both health and action, I also had a mind disease as well as mind poisons stacked(totalling over 3k per tick). As I recall he was a 350k ham opponent which means the commando still had about 150-200k left while I had not only cleared the entire mind pool(350khams) but also did significant damage to the health and action pools(about 40-50k each). There was not a single doubt as to who did the most damage to the DJM but who got the loot? Not me!!!, and not anyone in my group.

I agree,
everyone should get the damage he/she emits counted.
DOT's seem to be unsoconsidered, so it is not only us
CM who have that trouble, BH's and Commandos and everyone
with a DOT-weapon as well.

Would be fine if that was changed as well.
