Hate to break it to ya, but CM's are 80% PvP Class 20% PvE, Disease = worthless PvE unless you plan on letting the mob recover and then kill itagain later? really illogical way of PvE'ing but whatever =)

As for poisions, i do use the single target action poisions C's pve, as it compliments my carbine bleeds well.

As for quickness poision.... why would you use this on a mob anyhow? this again is pointless since the rate at which the mob would regen (If they had secondary stats) is really a slight amount not even worth the mob being to 0 quickness.

Best to stick with the main HAM pools with disease/poision as the secondaries really will not be as dramatic of an inpact, PvE, or PvP.

PvP - Disease secondary stats are nice if you just want to griefe someone or get revenge, then ya put every disease you can on em, otherwise its a waste of most valuable time in large scale pvp.

I have never seen a mob use HAM from a special skill. Even so, my poit was, generaly in PvE unless you are completely reliant on the CM tree you landing Disease, OR poision on a secondary stat probably would not be worth the time (crafting + high resist on most 10k+ mobs that is MAY be viable for)

It is a good idea to test tho the possibily of a mob killing it self the same as a PC just kinda makes me laugh. However SoE's logic dosen't tho in depth, and again from my expierence mindlessly killing tons of mobs (mastering pistol, and now finishing master carbineer after dropping the pistol line) I cannotrecall a mob ever loosing HAM over a special.

One other test you may want to consider however is testing this on faction or pets asI have seen them with secondary stat wounds via /diagnose and was able to heal them. Not sure if they actualy contribute functionality to the pets HAM but theycan and do get the wounds. And this would probably prove to be a much safer way of testing since you can /end a duel with a freind and wont get attacked by the pet.

Maybe also visit the CH boards and ask them about mob stats, as they would knowbetter than anyone i would assume.

Yea, it really sucks that poisons don't workviablyunless you're a master and even then you don't get XP for killing with it.

Helloooooo paradox.

Arc, I specifically have seen NPC's use HAM for a special skill. In fact, it even happened to me last night. I saw the number go over his head (-103 mind) and wondered what he did and looking at the combat log saw that he had used blinding shot (or something like that, I forget the exact wording). Of course, -103 pts on something with 4K+ probably won't make a visible dent in the HAM bar but yes, they indeed use HAM for special shots.

So 103 may be squat, but it if had a secondary rating thatI had wounded with disease, let's say that special uses Health (I don't actaully know) and I diseased their Con, in that case the cost after ashort time might even double or triple. Not a big deal with zerg groups taking down kimogillas in under 2 minutes, but for folks who like to work in a challenge arena a fight could last a good deal longer, long enough for something like that to have effect.

But, that's netiher here nor there since the secondary diseases don't seem to be working anyway,I don't think.

So, the next thing to look at is what about a Primary Disease? Let's say I deisease a MOB with 4k HAMs, on Health. The MOB starts takin damage that knocks it down to 3500/4000 (that's 3500 damage and no wounds). What I've been wondering is how the disease will affect this when it ticks. will it only tick off wounds (let's call it 100 for the sake of ease of illustration) so that the MOB's Health will now be 3500/4900? Or will it lower the Max potential, and thereby drop the damage down with it, as in 3400/4900? In the first case the MOB has taken no more damage, and we all know that in PvE damage is king. Incap is the same thing as death for a MOB. So wounding it is useless. If, however, the latter is the case then at least the disease is simulating a poison to a lesser degree by allowing damage as well, by simply lowering the damage taking potential of the MOB. So 100 wounds comes out to also mean 100 damage. Disease would not be as effective a damager as a poison, but it's something at least, if that's the case, and at least one of the packs would have some use in PvE.

I saw it in the game, but I don't remember exactly *where* I saw it (certainly not in your datapad or using regular /examine).

I *think* I may have seen it on a pet being sold on the bazaar or a vendor. That of course doesn't mean it's 50 for all pets so I may have mis-stated facts above, but given the insanely slow regen on all pets (not that I care as a healer), it wouldn't surprise me at all if it is 50 for all pets.

Maybe I'll have to check vendors, too. Wouldn't be surprised by a 50 on a baby pet. Now you've really got me wondering if it really is 50 across the board for all pets or if it varies as well.

Pets have secondary stats of 50, which is why they regen so slowly and why a good doctor buff has a very noticeable effect on their regen.

Really? Where'd you learn that? (Maybe I should read the CH forums more?)
