Infect does NOTHING for me. It is so useless that I don't even consider itpart ofmy repertoire.

no.... 100 is still too much.... make it tike for 50 points every 3 seconds... but increase the duration to that of our poisen dot's


that would make it a very effective dot


but then again they would by crying for nerf on CM's again if we got that

I agree that Infect feels very very useless. Theres also the fact that CM got a 4 for offense, and all we get is two DoTs that tick for around 250 each. If infect ticked for around 50 or 25 (not damage, but rather taking away from their maximum health) every 5 seconds or so, I think it be a much more useful skill. It would also get combat medics closer to the 4 points of offense that they got in the professions role overview.

well.... did some more testing on infect last night...


it does 2 or 3 points every 3 or 4 seconds....


goes for 1 to 1.5 min on ticking....


lasts for about 1 to 1.5 min


then starts going in reverse....


it looks like it does a total of 70-100 on the damage... hardly enough to be worth even the mind cost.....



but yes, wonder what they will do with this

just noticed a new publish went live... will test infect again tonight and post results... see if it got stealth fixed with it or not

just to answer:



it breaks paralyze




this ability is very worthless in current form.



I say make it % based, reduces health by 20% over 1 minute or something, then lasts for 4-5 minutes

No noticeable change, still not worth firing off. Same reduction per tick.

It is sooooooo uber.....I bet 10 billion creds the devs don't do squat about it. They are too busybeefing up jedi right now.


I diseased some krayts for fun, if they would maybe let us keep stacking it we could make it useful. The time it would take for us to throw it over and over would probably get us killed, but it's a thought.

It is a possibility that Infect is in fact a debuff tohealth pool regeneration.

Eat health buff food see if Infection slows the regen of health rate.The seemingly nominal 2-4 hitpoints every 2-4 seconds may be a residual evidence of the Disease preventing normal health regen perhaps.

it's possible but if that's the case it needs to last longer, and possibly not do any damage at all to max health.... just cut off regen....

Oddly enough there IS a Mind and action debuff....and no health regen debuff? ......Infect?


We DO know that Infect effects the health, causing small amounts of damage over timebut otherwise "appears " broken to our

incorrect assumption that Infect was supposed to cause apparent wounds lowering the over all health maximum of the target..

This led me to question if in fact Infect held a differentfunction The only other role i could project based on data collected was

that Infect is possibly a Health regeneration debuff ...or is not functioning properly as the Devs intended. Would not a health regeneration debuff qualify as a skill to be gained at master CM?


I will run extensive testing shortly on this theory.

I said a while back it reduced the ham, but the rat was so slow, it's ow really worth it, hehe.
