Thread: Thyroid Rupture = useless??

I just got the thyroid rupture ability, and have yet to be able to use it at all. I can use all of the other poisons (sometimes), electrolight drain, etc....but this thyroid skill does ABSOLUTELY nothing. It seems to have NO effect what so ever. When I walk up to a creature, and use the command, it doesn't even cause aggro, so it's not doing anything. Am I missing something? Any ideas?

the basic is bugged.... and while the improved version sticks.... i havent seen any difference in how fast a creature or player can hit me.

I'm MCM/MBH and I always use it. I figure it can't really hurt. And the Jedi seem annoyed when I use it in a duel, so maybe they notice a difference we don't. Never tested it though.

It cuts their speed in half roughly, combined with intimidate and/or warcry it is an extremely useful attack control for Ranged Mobs over cl85, expecially those over cl90 and works wonders in PvP unless they have the Doctor Adrenal Boost buff running.

The adrenal boost is a 40% increase while the thyroid rupture is a 40% decrease. It makes alot of difference especially fighting jedi, melee, or professions with only a single ranged profession.

I dueled a MCM / MFencer the other day (long fight /sigh) we both kept sticking debuffs and I got to seetheir effects first hand, I will have to say thyroid rupture is now one of the main debuffs I use, the otheres I wait for an indication of weakness before applying. This thing was so aggrivating it makes you so damn slow, deffinently one of our best debuffs if not the best.

Thyroid rupture is a great opening move against a superior opponent. Try it in PvE andyou'll notice that you need to heal a LOT less often. I can't wait until I have all the CM goodies to play with.

Yeah I use my MSmug/MCM ton to stick both thyroid rupture AND lowblow. Especially in areas like the deathwatch bunker, krayt hunting, and fighting things like necrosis you sure as hell notice the difference. It's kinda funny too in a way though that you can use a supposedly biological debuff on a droid.

if your fighting say a MLS, i would not use it, just use the cut action in half, you want them to attack you to use up there action, if you lower there attack speed, take longer. also you want there force bar to run low to.

just my views.

if they have a perfect or close to perfect saber, you might just have to use it to keep from getting caught in a healing cycle.

I don't know about Thyroid rupture(Because I'm saving mastering CM/Pistoleer for my last char) but I know for a fact that adrenal boost is +40 speed points and not a 40% increase in speed. If it was all my 7 current combat chars would have 0-0-0-4 doctor in em

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.
