Open letter to whom it may concern...
Necro-Posting is bad. It doesn't matter if you attempt to hide it by forming a response to the thread that was necro'd, since all you're doing is spamming the forum with old threads and pushing relevant topics off the front page.
So...stop. Really.
It's not all that clever...

That's why I let the first couple go... but 13 of 'em, well, nope. Not letting that much necroposting going unnoticed

i agree with the original poster, but y should we be edited, and be put on strict rules. i mean rent forums 2 let others know info on a certain subject even if thier way of getting the message isnt "kosher"?

necroposting refers to someone posting in a thread that's been inactive for a long time (usually months, in this case over a year)

the questions asked 17 months ago have either been answered many times, or are no longer relevant. it's also just bad posting etiquette.

/sigh
I just can't figure out peoples obsessions with post counts. Its like the higher the number the more people they think will take them seriously or their d*** will get bigger.
/checks hawtpants
I'll put money down say these dudes didn't just necro this forum.

It's a term someone coined back on the pre-beta forums. Hadn't heard it before then or seen it used anywhere else. It's a SWG original
And yep, like Pappi said, it's bringing an old post back from the depths of the forums.
