Thread: Pension to get rid of 'throwing' animations

Last night me and a couple of ppl went on the FS Michielle (or how ever you spell it)mission and since I mrm I doing just fine at range. But I stopped to toss a mind poison and died instantly because my toon stopped moving. This is no rant in anger, but it finaly occured to me how bad this really is. Even in pvp it's hard cuz we all know that once a TK hits any of us range fighters with kd it's over. Or if any one has any commnets as to differ from this, then by all mean, post!

Respectfully disagree. The freeze is to prevent you from being able to through poison or disease indiscriminately, which I think is a good thing.

I can understand the speed cap but the freezing is painful. I wound how a guy with a T21 can run and shoot but a CM can not run and toss.

It goes both ways. Once a CM poisons me I think "damn.. it's over."

I'm aware. I just think the hinderance in movement adds something to think about before you toss, and I think that is a good thing.

I think this was brought up in the droid thread but what if a poison/disease howitzer droid was introduced? Allows us to continue moving while using poisons but perhaps has a penelty of doubling refire rate? Thoughts?

Didn't know I'd been playing long enough to qualify for a pension. 
The animation is there for a reason, I'd hate to think of all the crying if it were removed.
Spamming posions and disease with havla while burst running around.

Speed is capped meaning havla does not work with poisons and diseases.
speed is capped meaning the second tree in CM is worthless except for mind heal at the top box
speed is capped meaning the skill mods don't work.
The pause in the animation is not intended to allow everybody to close and pound on us, it had something to do with lag and the AI trying to figure out where we are when we throw. It has been reported as a bug several times and will probably be fixed just as soon as all the other bugs are....heh.
Oh, by the way, speed is capped meaning no matter what you try to do, you cannot throw poisons any faster than you can at novice CM.

First, I believe you meant petition.
Second, isn't there a similar delay when throwing grenades.
Third I think there are more pressing issues facinng our profession than this. We should be, in my opinion, focusing on how to keep our profession viable after to CU. This idea would only give people more ammunition against us.

Think about getting Doc 4030 on your pvp template and use janta cures. Or stick next to a doc who toss area heals and protect him at all cost. The more he lives, the more you live.....

I want it gone so bad, heck I can throw while running, why can't my toon? Nothing worse then trying to get out of range and get rooted. And it isn't just poisons, we can't even toss a stim on the move, which bites when you are trying to heal someone moving, you throw, it stops you, then get the target out of range thing. We can still have the cool animation, cuz it looks neat, but stop the rooting is all.
I love the way I lean back and hurl the lil blue ball, hehe too much fun.
