Thread: CM poison (and who knows what else): way too much damage.
Probably been brought up before, but I was recently introduced to this overly effective weapon tonite. I was taking well over 430 points of damage per tick, which is ludicrously high damage. Considering that my guns dont come anywhere near that type of damage, I dont see how its justifiable that a poison attack can be this powerful in pvp. This a throwback to the way pvp was prior to the 75% reduction stuff.
DOT attacks like these, or bleeds, or fire dots should nuisances, not back breakers (yes that includes my own bleed/fire attacks).
I'm not asking for sympathy, this would be the wrong forum for that. Just bringing up my gripe (and a legit one at that).

Food for thought.

i don't play combat medic, got several friends that do though, not sure how it can be considered griefing if they aren't burning/diseasing corpses.
Now if they are running around diseasing corpses then yeah, that's griefing.
hmmm, total inability?
the master doctor that does pvp with us is able to handle mind poisons just fine.
like eyeshot huh? isnt that healable too? or some rifleman attacks that hit the mind?
find a doc to fight with if you want to take on CMs.
you don't bring a Doc to fight a CM, you bring a Doc to rez the people that got killed from mind damage
/disagree i'd rather fight any other class than a master doc as a CM. 1 shot cures before the poison can even tick. and master ability in several combat classes available to tear me apart while I wait those 5 seconds to throw another poison that will be insta cured. TKA/master doc, probably my worst scenario to fight. Since CM's have to stop moving to throw a poison, gives a melee more than enough time to catch up for a KD/dizzy combo.
I will grant you that bringing a doc/artisan type wouldnt be much help.

Unlike bleed dots and fire dots which can be alleviated rather easily through either first aid (which I'd say more than 50% of players have) or a quick jump in the water, the poison dots however require a trained doctor multiple C level poison packs to remove it which is a problem.
Unless ofcourse you are on Tatooine where fire is actually worse than poison because you can find a doctor faster than you can run to the 4 places with water on the planet ![]()
I think our poisons are fine damage-wise, the DPS for our very best is still under the DPS of other combat classes. What they need to fix is the bug/exploit that makes it possible for people to be poisoned/diseased when they wake up in the cloning center as well as fixing the fact that you don't die after a third poison incap anymore because of the delay timer.

Yeah guns don't do anywhere near that right? 430/8secs = 54dps
Eyeshot 300/ 1 second = 300 dps
don't cry
