some of you may say its not an exploit - but if you use a bug to grief people and get incaps i call it an exploit.

any word when it will be fixed?

One problem is that no dev has ever called this a bug or exploit in the forums. I strongly suspect that the disease + poison = incap was not intended. That said, since this applies to all wound over time attacks (most notably CM poison and commando burns) and the devs are silent, I am reluctant to call it an exploit or a bug at this point.

the devs don't say much of anything on the fourms.

so that doesn't mean much.

point is - the only dot that incaps at the moment is flames.

these attacks are not flames.

so its a bug.

Actually the only DOT that incap's is a DOT + Disease. Which is exactly what Flame DOT is. Health DOT + Health Disease.

So naturally a CM can toss a Poison DOT + Disease and do the same thing as a flame, because in the code....it is the same.

Hence, not a bug. Perhaps not intended by the dev's, but how many things go on not intended by them.

Hmm, perhaps you should try to shoot out that last bit of HAM with your pistol or your rifle when the individual has 150+ ranged defense and 200+ dodge.

No? I didn't think so.

i'll have to disagree... the reason that flame dot incaps is because it adds woundswith the damage, which is exactly what happens when you use both a disease and a poison on one target. therefore it's not the only dot that incaps.

you can't exactly just make up points that aren't valid and expect to build an argument with it O.o

The chance to CM's was to keep a single CM from single handly kill large groups or entier citys such as Rori Rebel base with 1 toss.

So to stack poison and desease to circumvent the change and allow you to do what the Devs intended to stop is most certainly an exploit.

I diseased and poisoned a guy's mind last night and was shooting him. After the first poison tick he went down like a sack of grain. When he stood back up, however...the disease never ticked until after the poison was gone. Does anyone know why this would be?

No Actualy you are Wrong on what the purpose of the change is. The Change was implemented as a Quick fix to the problem of Poisons(and Dots in general) Lasting for VERY long times and the Infamous 'Incap dance' that was caused by the Dots lasting so long. I see you've been around since august, so i am Sure you must remember getting hit by a Dot(Bleed or poison) and then getting incaped at one point or another. What would happen is the poison/Bleed would stop 'Ticking' while you were on the ground and then restart shortly after you got back up, Thus Putting you down again very fast and then Freezing untill you got back up again. Cases were noted in where a poison would last for over an hour and cause dozens of Incaps but no Death(due to the removal of the 3 incap rule). So On the corespondant forum they came up with a Quick fix that that the Devs actualy listened to(Wow?!) and now the poison/bleed does not Stop ticking while you are on the ground and Also stops doing damage when you are at 1hp.

Somhow tho, Wound Dots...Disease and Flame are the only 2 i know of...Avoided part of this change and are able to cause an Incap. Now there hasn't been any word on this lack of Change Being intentional or not....So Calling it a Bug and Expecialy an Exploit is just unjustified and in error. Perhaps you should be Starting a Post Asking the Devs if it is intentional or not and Perhaps leading into a Discussion of weather or not this Ability is Overpowered...We already many of these in progress i'm sure...but another wouldn't hurt.

So just to put it Clearly, Disease NEVER changed, Only poison....We have merly been forced to Learn about and Employ More of Already existing, less used, abilities to remain effective after the 'nerf' to poison...ourONLY Offensive option.

On a Side Note, These uninformed threads are gonna keep poping up untill th devs State What our Profession is intended to be capable of, A Deffinition that i am Sure All the community Could stand to hear...CM and Non CM alike

Been pushing for a statement on the Role of CMs....still no response.

The issue of Flamethrowers and poison/disease combos has been brought up a couple of times by different correspondents. The Devs are aware of the problem. We probably won't see anything come of it untiol DoTs are examined as part of the complete combat pass. Again, no eta, if any changes are made at all.

It souldnt be removed at all, it incaps and thats just how it is.

Create a CM and then after spending 1-2 million on resorces to make poisons, or harvesting for 2 weeks, then the time it takes to experiment, factory, and come up with the final product. Then thats when you earn the right to post on the topic, not before.

Its not a exploit its the only weapon a pure Cm has for incapping an enemy. Unlikeother proffesionswho simply have to find a weapon, buy it, retrive it, and your off.

No, if the commando and BH burn is not a bug, then poison + disease is not a bug. First, it takes a poison AND a disease to incap while it just takes one burn to incap. Also, there's a cure to both poison and disease while there isn't one to burn. If you want to complain about something, complain about burn.
