I think it's the fact that many active Pvpers skill their template for full defenses (Def stackers) Causing them to be very hard to hit. Making them nearly invulerable to ranged and melee weapons making them very hard to kill....

Until a CM shows up.

So of course their hate grows against the cure against def stackers.

Because CM's can target the mind and bypass the defensive stacks and armor of another player. If the dev's were to take the mind poison packs away from CM's there wouldn't be the cries you see now. I pray the combat and HAM revamp solves the problem.

How can you possibly call yourself a hard core pvper if you have never even mastered an elite profession? lol... I killed you in TWO SHOTS. You suck dude. You have no right to post this as I don't think you even have the apply poison ability yet.

Here it is in a nutshell.

Some of the best players in the game are CMs.They not only know the strengths and weaknesses of their own character, but also the strengths and weaknesses of everyone else's character.

One of themgoes up against some poor slob that barely knows how to boot the game. The outcome is entitely predictable.

Now, human nature being what it is, the loser is not going to admit that he got outplayed.

Instead, he has to concoct some fiction about how CMs are overpowered.

It is a lot easier for some peopleto hate CMs than it is for them to admit that they do not even know how to play their own character.

Truth in Advertising Disclaimer: No, I am not one of the best players in the game, and I never claimed that I was.

I prefer another nutshell. I have been on the side of wiping out entire groups. It doesn't take a great player to do this. It is simple. Run in heave your area poison and run like heck. Come back 40 seconds later andpick the one offs that either cure it or were not affected the first time. Then start the stacking process. By this time the pvp experience is close to being over. Now imagine you have 2 or 3 CM's coordinating efforts. Its over quickly with very little smarts. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to understand that most pvpers have weakness for poisons.

There may be great CM players, but they will not be showing there greatness by their CM skills. Otherwise, I would be a considered a great player and that is laughable...

Why are CM's medics hated so much?

Due to bad programing....CM's can throw farther than a ...

Commando can shoot a missile...

A Sniper can shoot a bullet...

AT-ST can attack...

They can poison at a faster rate than the /bugged manual turrets...

This is the first game I have ever played where the so called "healer" can out damage just about every "combat" profession there is...

With all that in mind...the only question would be why they are not hated

I would be *very* hesitant to writepeople off as not knowing the game, their profession, or other's professions. Yes this is entirely possible, but to write off everybody who ever thought combat medics as being overpowered as being naive should only be done after lots of thought and discussion.

To write off somebody like that is to marginalize their complaint. Furthermore, it stops all intellectual discussion about a topic (as the only real recourse is to say "I'm not", at which point you say "are too", and the so called debate goes from there), when it is very possible they have a point or are right.

To assume you are superior to somebody else without evidence is the height of arrogance. Many people *are* ignorant orunfamiliar with game mechanics. But to brand somebody as being ignorant and not pay attention to what they are saying is a very dangerous path to take...

Edit: Added first sentence to third paragraph, and a little emphasis there as well.
