Figured I would ask the combat medics since there is a better chanceyou all would know . I am a doctor and noticed I cant heal and shoot at the same time . Is this a combat medic skill or am i just doing something wrong . Any input would be great .

You can't heal and shoot at the same time period. If you want to heal while your fighting something. You have to exit combat, peace the target you were attacking, and then heal.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm a master medic and every day I heal people and shoot at the same time without any of that peace stopping combat nonsense.

One of the reasons I enjoy being a healer in this game is BECAUSE I don't have to stop shooting to heal.

Normally I'd be delighted to help a fellow medic, but you seem to be of a lesser quality of manners.

Figure it out. Someday you probably will and a lightbulb will go on over your head. Until then, just keep thinking you know everything and being rude and wondering why everyone else seems to be able to do something except you. Or perhaps you'll quit the profession and become something simpler and more your speed, like a moisture farmer.

Personally, I am able to be in combat with a creature targeted and shooting, and heal a player in the other target window. You do stop for a moment to perform the heal, but you go right back to firing. It has been this way as long as I have known.

I'm trying to figure out how it fits into the queue.

I'll target something, do some skill conbat stuff, then do a ctrl 1 or whatever to target a party member...and then pop a heal. After a little bit, the heal does go off.

I'm having a hard time determining if it goes into a queue that meshes with your combat queue.

I'm thinking it doesn't go directly into the queue. I notice that if I have no specials queued up, the heal happens in a second or two. If I have lots of specials queued up, it seems like the heal happens when there are 1 or 2 specials left in the queue. If I queue 2 specials and then a heal, the heal almost always happens between the 2 specials.

I guess the common denominator there is that if the heal is in the queue, it happens before the last special in the queue, not after it.

I wonder if I could have typed "queue" any more times in that post?

That's the second time I've noticed something screwy posted by Zerbean.

What did he mean by specializing in Rifle so you don't have to buff all your stats? This

confused me, as while I understand pistol attacks health, carbine attacks action, and rifle

attacks mind with their special attacks, I don't understand why I would need to buff my

mind stats in order to use a rifle.

Basically I'm asking if my initial impression is correct, and he is a moron, and it is

safe to ignore him.

Thanks.

I dont have any problems doing it. As other posters have stated, you perform the heal a couple seconds after a heal "command". So I can shoot, perform a heal with a slight delay (at which point I stop shooting), then resume shooting again. Simple.

If I am fighting (Doctor, 50% of way to Master) here is how I do things:

1) If someone is tanking against something big, I fire a bodyshot2 then no more specials, I will keep shooting regular shots automatically but that is no my goal of being ther in this case. I just watch the tank and fire off a Stim C every couple of seconds, stims typically take a second to go off.

2) If multiple people are getting hit and/or it is a weaker target I fire off (spam) a load of bodyshot2. Watch people HAMs stay close to those taking damage and if anyone gets to 50% or shouts medic I clear my special queue and heal them with a stim C, typically they get healed with 2 secs.

Most difficult part of being a combat doc is the 6m range and idiots that run right when they need to stand still and get healed. That is a trust issue that will improve over time.

Anyone who thinks you can't heal people and be involvcd in combat should talk less and play the game more in my opinion.

"Basically I'm asking if my initial impression is correct, and he is a moron, and it is safe to ignore him."

I'd say that's a safe assumption
