Master Rifleman with speed cap spams HeadShot3- 2500 or so damage a second (with a crappy rifle), while running around doing this.

Master CM with 1000 tick mind poison combined with a 700 tick area poison puts both on someone. = 170 damage per second averaged.

But, consider this: For the first 10 seconds the Rifleman does damage, while the CM does a 1000 after 10 seconds, and 4 seconds after that the 700, meaning hes done at least 25,000 damage before the first tick of CM comes in. Even with 80% armor, thats STILL5000 damage (not including AP3) , outdoing the CM by almost3 times the damage.

This STILL, does not take into account that a Doctor can cure poison (master in one hit of a poison C pack).

So, unless you're fighting an uber stacker (who probably is also using anti-cm food + attachments anyway) The rifleman will outdamage the Combat Medic EVERY time, even with his uber-poisons.

Furthermore, if you're fighting someone not wearing armor, HAH, its not even a contest. 25k damage to 2k...hmm...

Now, this isn't even taking into account that if the CM is fighting a TKA, /bur + /kd+dizzy means the CM can't even get off a shot.

So, for all of you pansies that cry nerf, and piss and moan about how CMs beat you up, try being one and realizing that Kiting is a HELLUVA lot harder than it seems, and we die in PvP 95% of the time, while you're stacked defenses and god-like armor usually keep you alive.

What might be worth adding here is that this is a CM using rare to legendary poison packs created as a result of collecting the most excellent resources and very rare loots.

The best I can do (at master CM) would end up at half that... or a spectacular 85 damage per second (or lower).

Spider Venom Area Mind Poison C/B + large group of people = alot more dmg than a rifleman can dish out, mind pool-specific, combine that with the clone zerg and its impossible to resist

2500 base with 75% PvP reduction = 625, then add a 40% PSG so 375 then add 90% armor which is 37.5. 37.5 is even below non-venom poison. And I think your 2500 per HS3 is fairly generous, maybe a high end hit.

2500 - 75% still equals 625 a second well above 170

yeah but 170 x a group of 20. I think that both rifleman and CM need a nerf, its bull**edit** thats theres no 75% pvp reduction for CM, and if rifleman want to hit every second, theres gonna need to be some major damage nerfs.

Once you are hit by a poison, it will tick everytime, no missing, no ducking out of view for a few seconds regen. The DPS on a poison is static, you know what it'll hit for. When firing a gun you could get unlucky by firing low end shots, missing alot (not to mention the ever increasing number of stackers), people running out of range, getting KD'd, so on and so forth.

Devil's Advocate:

CM: You can apply the DPS to mutliple people. Does damage after you're dead. You calculation assumes the Rifleman never misses.

This does not respresent my complete view of the situation. I don't be combat medics need nerfed. However, I hate when people leave out vital information on either part of the argument.

and once you resist a poison (or it is cured, by yourself or a handy doctor) it will never tick, never do any damage and will need to be reapplied at a cost of aproximately 1000 credits.

Everyone seems to forget half of Cm's are riflemen too (Or perhaps pistols/carbines in some cases).
So even if damage isn't as good as riflemen, you have the power of the poisons on top of rifle spammage. If combat medics could only have CM and and not a master inan elite prof. (Maybe make it marksman + medic for CM) and they do something about mind damage being so much better than health or action, then I'd say it pretty even *shrug*
