Thread: Problem with people dropping structures in city limits without /grant permission?
If they dont have zone rights they shouldnt be able to place anything in the city limits, if they are able to then it is a bug and you should send tickets till you get the issue resolved.
Did your city grow after they placed the harvestors or bases to expand beyond the stuctures.
Anyone can join any city now I do believe...
If this is the case this is a huge bug! No structure be it house, factory, harvester or base should be able to be placed within city limits of a player city without someone granting them zoning rights. I would question members of your militia first and if no one gave permission then I would start bugging it.
One other thought, did your city expand during the last update to include these structures?

If a city doesn't have zoning enabled, anyone can drop a structure in the city limits. If zoning is on it requires a /grantzoningrights from the Mayor or a member of the militia.
As far as the CSR tickets go, are they putting any kind of response in on the tickets before closing them? They should be able to take a look and see how the structure was allowed to be placed.

We are having this problem in my player city right now. We have zoning enabled to stop people from dropping structures everywhere but somehow a rival guild has found a way/bug to place houses in our city, declare residence there and they are now in the process of trying to win the mayoral election. They are doing this because on our server all the shuttleport slots on Naboo are taken and they need to basically steal one, so they targetted ours.
They have even stated to us that they did not require zoning rights from our milita to do it, and they wouldn't tell us how they did it until after they won the mayor position. We have all sent in SCR tickets and are hoping for a favourable outcome, we know these guys are exploiting a bug to take our city.

wth.. is up with flurry and people stealing cities.. ..
Seriously there needs to be something done like mayors need an option to restrict new people who just moved to wait like a week before they can vote or soemthing. And before a city hall is pulled there needs to be say a majority vote done at the voting terminal put out to the citiznes to determine that. SO if a mayor wants to close a city starts the request and gives citizens say 5 days to cast their vote in favor of or against and if majority ok's the city being gone then it is done.
You would think this would be a big issue I mean how important is it that now some remote quest is fixed that I didn't even know was in the game but this is going on? Eh.. .. priorities.. ..

Tell me about it, basically BLEED has used this bug to drop a bucketload of houses in Lakeside and is now trying to vote in a mayor for themselves. We are kicking butt in the vote, but the fact that they houses/residents there now means that they can try and pull this crap every voting cycle.
They should be turfed out by the CSR's for using a known bug to do this, but even after almost my entire guild has sent tickets in we are still getting the run around.
Please send me a pm also...this is a fear now I guess. Not that I think our server would have this issue, but ya never know.

If Ican get the steps on how this is done, I can report it so it can hopefully get fixed quickly. The issue itself has been reported, but reproducing it is proving difficult.
