Ever take a look at the planetary map? Correllia is the center of the galaxy. To get almost anywhere without a JTL starship requires a stop on Corellia. Think about it. Theed with its no wait starport isn't as busy as Cnet, because you can only travel to a limited # of planets from there.

It is also easy to navigate in Coronet (no stairs, canalsor narrow streets), most of services (bank, hospital, cantina, trainers, mission terminals) are nearby and there is large enough open place where doctors and other can offer their services.

I don't care for it much at all, I as a veteran player every go there anymore. Bunch of merchants spamming, far banking terminals (opposed to MO). Super far cantina, and w/ the new GCW changes a pain to be in if combatant. Personally MO, is where its at.

Inertia. Prior to JTL, Corellia was a jump point to many other worlds. Like the others have said, you have more easily navigated routes to city services. It also has a wide selection of trainers. So Coronet, collected quite an urban sprawl around it. And it's not like with the JTL that people moved elsewere. They kept in the same area because people still think of Coronet as one of the galaxy's economic centers.

I never really like coro, it might be becuase i have low mem and i lag alot, or the spamming. I like MO, same as coro, docs, ents, solo groups, a few merchants here and there, but not as much lag for my slow computer.

Yep.
Coronet is the point in the galaxy with the minimum total energy/cost to get the services desired, from the original star map layout and placement of NPC services. Players are just following the economic and social paths of least resistance. The only reason to avoid Coronet is if you cannot handle the lag, or hate the spam and other noise.
This is just another example of all the doody flowing downstream. I think that's a principle in every dynamic science, but only with more impressive words.

I think it a good thing to have a center where people could gravitate to. It IS the New York of our Galaxies. That is... until and if Coruscant is ever made.
Anyway.. it also makes more sence from a Expanded Universe point-of-view. Corellia is the ONLY core world planet represented in game. ALL the others, including Naboo, are in the outer rim regions.

No way, too many hobos in cnet to be nyc. The first jedi i ever saw, darn near 2 years back was pan handleling in cnet, selling polished crystals for 200k to help feed a starving jedi.
Place still hasnt changed. Just less docs now =]

Cnet doesn't have those annoying gates like they do on Naboo either...
