When I do a /who request, I usually get something like this:
Somebody, aSullustan Master Ranger, in Bonukanaukaujb'adibh Valley
Can we have some kind of map that shows where all these valleys and stuff are? I have no idea where most of the people are because of this.

Possibly, but it would be faster if you did it rather than wait on the devs to do it.

I actually had a problem with the bazaar over this. I bought some blue wires and the vendor said they were in Moenia, IIRC. Well, when I went to the WP, I got a message to go to the bazaar at such-and-such region. I kept waiting for it to fix itself and it never did. I filed a ticket for my items and before they responded my items poofed because the timer expired. I ended up getting the two wires put into my inventory, but it was still frustrating to not be able to find what I bought.

if the name comes up . . . just send them a /tell and if they can provide you with the service you require . . . just ask for their location ala a waypoint.

ok are we talking about bounty hunting . . . the GCW or findinga player type for aid? My response was in regard to finding a player for aid . . .like training . . . but if you're crafty you could RP your way into getting a person's location to "gank" them.

Not about BHing at all. This is the GCW.

You realize the size of the regions right? So even if you knew exactly the boundaries of it finding him is still a needle in a haystack. Plus the region names pretty much give you a good idea on the overhead map for some worlds. If you really are that interested it wouldn't be hard to make up a map of the different areas.

There are some player made maps that show the regions. I believe you can find them on swg.warcry.com or possibly swg.allakhazam.com

I think of it more as a matter of immersion... it'd be cool to have little popups like in EQ tell us what particular region of Corellia or Dathomir we're stumbling across... if for nothing else just to be cool and break up that feeling of "endless wastes" sometimes..
Have a little message come up in nice Star Warsy lettering that says "The Jundland Wastes" or "Naboo Lake Country" like I say, just for immersion's sake
